    You should add a dedicated swap partition, 8GB would be about the sweet spot for your system.

    Thanks for that suggestion. My nvme is pretty fast, though by far near the low end of nvme speeds, and the 16 gb ram works pretty well. I didnt want to add a swap until i had a more physical hdd to add to the machine as i worry the swap with wear out my nvme or my ssd rather quickly. If i add another 16 gb of ram, can i make a swap file in ram space? Is there a point with just having enough ram that a swap space becomes irrelevant?
