Is anyone else getting signed out of the forums over and over?

I'm browsing the forums on my iPad while playing on my PC, and during the last hour I've been randomly logged out of the forums again and again, sometimes within just a few minutes of having logged in again. Is anyone else having this happen to them?

Yup. Three times in the about 15 minutes I've been on this afternoon.

On phone, it is really weird, I don't even sign back in, just that page sometimes loads logged in, and sometimes it is as if I am not. Weird stuff I tell u.

For me, I'll be logged in, and after clicking on a thread and reading the last post I'll click on the "General ESO Discussion" link at the bottom of the thread and suddenly be logged out again.

Repeatedly, and not just between visits but during them too. I was beginning to think it was my machine, but thankfully it turns out not to be so!

Yes, here too. It usually takes me 3-4 times of signing back in to get the site to acknowledge it, even though I check “keep me signed in.”

Then I’m back to being signed out within a day or two at most. Sometimes within the same day.

You're not really signed out. Something is just frakked with the forum software.
If you notice that it says you are signed out while looking at the main thread list, click on a thread.
ABRACADABRA, you're magically signed back in.
It sometimes happens in the reverse, as well.

My point is that you don't have to keep signing in when it says that you're not signed in.
Something funky is going on with Vanilla's software. AGAIN.

This same sort of thing used to happen occasionally on the Marvel Heroes forums, and they used Vanilla as their forum software vendor, also.

Vanilla Sucks.

Yep, been happening since the last site maintenance, that I noticed it. As indicated though, I haven't had to actually sign back in, changing pages does the trick.

Yep. You pegged it. Vanilla has sucked since its inception. The only thing it can possibly have going for it is that it's free. Of course, being free, it sucks even more....

It does look like I've been logged out sometimes when I change from one forum to another. But, the "Participated" option is still on the header bar. When I click on that, and go to my participated list it puts things right again, and the stuff I have read all goes back to being greyed out and the "sign in" button goes away.

Yeah, it seemed to go back to normal for me right after I posted my second comment in the thread. If it happens again, I'll try what @bearbelly and @RaddlemanNumber7 said.

It's still happening for me.
Not signed in, then I'm signed in. Back and forth. Randomly.
Sometimes it will seem OK for several clicks, but then it's back.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a fix until maaaybe Tuesday, since we're in the middle of a long holiday weekend in the US.

Still happening to me today. Even tho' I have frequented this thread before and was showing just now as signed in, when I accessed this thread again it took me to the first post. I exited to General Discussion and on my next click was signed out. Clicking on this thread again put me at the start of the thread, but signed in.

I've thought that before, too, when I was getting ready to post a reply in a thread and suddenly got a "You don't have permission to do that"-- but it was because the thread had gotten locked or deleted while I writing my reply.

Yep, it's been happening to me on all the Vanilla forums I use. Obviously something wrong with their code.

It's annoying because even though I know I'm not really signed out sometimes I can't get it to show me as signed back in on specific pages. The main page of the General Discussion section is the worst for this, which means I can't see which topics have new posts since I last looked. I end up signing in over and over even though I shouldn't need to, just to see what's been posted.

You need to clear out your cookie cache. The site only works properly with the new perfect cookies; existing ones weren't upgraded.
