It's actually quite interesting to start again. What would you do differently to what you did the first time starting? Research, mats to keep, daily writs?

The hardest part was the lack of gold. I was selling anything not nailed down to max out the bank space and get the banker. Once I got the banker, it became much easier.

I swapped servers, from pc eu to pc na. You keep any chapters you have purchased but can still effectively start again. Save yourself some money and give it a go!

Yep, good suggestion. Only downside for me is the higher latency on PC EU.

You should be off peak, so performance should be better.

Also, if you have plus, it works with both eu and na, so you don't need it twice.

If the game is to easy:

    play without armor
    (or just remove some pieces)

    still to easy

    play without weapon
(ok kiddin - but how about a low-level weapon)

Often in single player games, people want to restart so they can apply what they've learned and accelerate faster.

I suspect despite what the OP wants, this will end up happening. So he'll naturally gravitate toward doing useful activities (because, out of sheer practicality -- why not?) in support of adventuring, and before he knows it, the game will feel familiar to his old habits and even sooner than when he first started playing, it'll feel like even less of a challenge while feeling somewhat the same.

Intentionally handicapping yourself to have a different experience takes a lot of discipline because it goes counter to common sense to not apply what you've learned.

If it's challenge you want, do raids in newbie gear.

I would just buy a new account and play it for a bit. That's what I did, I waited for the game to go on sale, which happens often, and I just bought it again.

I have to say it is a real eye opener doing the game from scratch now versus when I originally started which was beta. It's fun playing my second account.

I have been playing ESO since 2017, max out CP, Gear, Completed most of achievements, made hell lot of AP, Telvars, 20M Gold also created 18 Characters and excel in dungeon trials as DD, Tank and Heals. Now having a break since past 6 months, wanted to come back but it seems to be 95% of contents are piece of cake in my current setup.

I remember playing Morrowind for longer hours in 2002 then deleted whole game and started over for fun and enjoying game while leveling and doing contents.

Shall i just delete all characters, keep one main character and sell all stuff to start over or create a new account from scratch?

It's you, not the game. You can't just magic away your experience. Though, most content in this game is faceroll anyway.

Or make a new character, dont invest CP and only use gear he finds or crafts himself.

I beat people in PVP with my fists but while wearing armor. Give them the weapon for the skills but take away the armor and jewelry for that is where their true power is.

My altoholism bled over onto the other server ages ago.

Also, wanted to make sure I wasn't blowing smoke when explaining to new people how to go about getting gold and best ways to max crafting etc, etc.

I found it fun (but not challenging) starting with nothing again.... as others have said, you won't ever get that 'new game' feeliing back.

Up to you what you want to do, but if you do end up deleting chars, at least leave your 'main' or you may end up regretting.

You know, you could delete your least played/favorite character on your old account. Do not put any points in the CP system untill lvl 50, and only use gear you find or craft yourself.

No need to go through the hassle of flip flopping between 2 accounts.
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.

One good thing about creating a new account is that you can send it gold, so you can max out the bank early. You can also assign them permission to use the house, to use dummies etc.

I'm not sure if this is an option you considered, and I am not sure I am understanding what you are asking completely, but if you are finding the content is too easy on a new character, consider not using CP until your toon reaches CP levels. I noticed (over my 3 accounts) the same thing, content is too easy once the CP is allocated, so I try not to use it until I have hit the level 50 mark. Even that doesn't make it much of a challenge so another option to coincide with not using CP, is not creating gear for a new character, just using what you find instead. Might be hard, but I think that is the best way to handicap yourself without buying another account, because you are correct, during events I wear myself out, not by trying to get every achieve on all 3, but by trying to get the new items ASAP for my main and then selling anything extra. My alt accounts only get items that are worth 3k or less on a guild trader. Hope that helps if this is what you were going for.
