I just witnessed myself doing the animation for 11 (eleven) dawnbreakers back to back. I'm not kidding. There is so much lag in cyrodiil my toon did the entire animation for dawnbreaker eleven times before the skill actually fired off and did some damage.

I hope the entire ball group that saw it too, and ran as a result, reported me and ZOS looks into it.

    Elder Lag Online. No fix in sight, no word from the developers. @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_BrianWheeler @ZOS_GinaBruno players are getting tired. Make a statement, and I mean a real one which talks about how bad it is...Thats all we want... It was a little better before COVID-19, but during its just god awful. I get Richard mentioned it, but doesn't talk about since February this game has been a lagfest..

    Do they even have staff available with the situation now. Its a work form home world at the moment. People have to take that into consideration.

    Its not hard for tech companies to go remote, and definitely not hard for engineers to WFH. They can vpn in.

    Yeah this is life now since they moved more thing server-side last patch. It's ridiculous and I no longer play during primetime/weekends because of this.

    Took me and a few other players like 2 minutes to kill keep FD NPCs tonight.

    That was basically my pvp experience before I just gave up. My latency diidnt even read as being that bad. Just nothing worked.

    I actually have a clip I uploaded to xbox live 91days ago with 11 pumpfake dawnbreakers but yeah I'm a potato and need to l2p..
    All skills potions and barswaps do this pretty regularly for me now as well .

    Make sure you buy greymoore and the latest mount though because zos cant afford to fix the game without your continued support :trollface:

    You get an animation for dawn breaker? Cos whilst I see my own, I've NEVER seen the animation from an enemy when they drop it.

    Had something similar today but with the colossus ulti. Went in for a bomb in a keep, saw the animation. Looked at my skill bar and noticed still had all my ulti there. Took another 3 attempts for it to finally go off. This wasnt even primetime or a large scale battle.

    I understand there would be additional stress due to higher than normal players due to isolation, but weve been providing feedback for YEARS about lag both in pve and pvp, so i can only see all this falling on deaf ears with zos. Its a shame as cancelling subs and even leaving the game doesnt get their attention. So i dont know what will unless theres a mass exodus (which by looking at all the threads over the past year about pc eu server, i think is only a matter of time).

    Is it coincidence that xbox recieved this broken update on feb15th and within 24hrs I had a clip of what the op is talking about here posted ?

    This has been a thing since 2015. You can see videos on youtube with ZOS discussing fixing the lag and performance issues. Now it's 5 years later and it's worse than before. Do we really think it will ever be fixed?

    Uh...not me. Show your frustration by not buying anything else. When revenue drops then....just maybe they will finally upgrade the servers/code and fix it. Till then, no more spending from me for this game.

    and you know what's funny about all of this? ZOS supposedly did all of these combat changes so the other player can see the animations. Now we can't even see our own animations but it gets even better. Our attacks DONT REGISTER ANYMORE.

    Devs? Dead silent about this huge issue.

    If this was me I would still missed all 11, I can NEVER hit a dawnbreaker even if I'm in front of the person, they ALWAYS get out the way

    This is the reason I don't slot dawnbreaker anymore. The cast time made it easier to avoid, but with the lag it won't even fire and it leaves you vulnerable all the time while trying to cast.

    The really weird thing is, they keep trying to fix it, but its mouse steps. And behind the scenes they keep making changes that they prioritize just as much as fixing the lagg, but these fixes keep making the lagg worse. Like the removal of animation canceling that opened a brand new problem of skill lagg and desyncs wich only keeps making the actual lagg feel 10x worse then it used to be. 2 steps forward, but 5 steps backwards.
    The kicker is, they refuse to revert these "improvements" that breaks the game even more and steam on ahead trying to fix problems that they create along the way, its a trainwreck thats still moving and it dont know its already crashed. Dangerous tracks..

    At least you aren't stuck warping around headbanging after using ferocious leap because the skill is programmed in a crappy way that makes you stay stuck in the animation by force until the damage is first applied, then the shield. When the server lags, it takes over 20 seconds to get that shield and you are stuck headbanging and warping around until you get the shield or die.

    Another ultimate that has become a worthless death trap, and the devs are surprised that players all gravitate towards the same ults and skills? When half of them guarantee a death in laggy conditions?

    I'm surprised the sun will rise tomorrow.

    Yeah that skill is a death trap, but more the other way around. It gives the DK an opportunity to spam executioner for maybe 10 seconds while the players who are hit are trapped in the air or are lying on the floor and cannot break free with full stamina. It falls under the category of toppling charge and meteor broken.

    Though I didn't play DK recently in cyro, so I don't know how often the caster is trapped, but I can assure you the players hit are almost always trapped.

    dont worry i just reported a rez bug that only happens duriing high lag

    They are sometimes after a short delay ;)

    But Ferocious Leap (magicka morph) bugs out for the caster and snares + prevents you from doing anything until the shield applies. It has the effect you see on your enemies on you instead first, then it eventually applies shield if you can survive the 15-30 sec it takes while a zerg is beating on you and you can't heal, roll, or block :smiley:

    I will just slot bow or dw on my mag char to get an ult I can actually use, since I hate destro ult and meteor is also useless...

    Do people still play Cyrodiil? Maybe if people stopped going in there they would do something about it. It's like sticking your hand in the fire and hoping not to get burned.

    Well I'm sick of fps and I'm not a fan of turn based combat so that doesnt leave me many options

    As much as it sucked, doing the Unhallowed Graves pledge with the server lag was actually kinda hilarious. Couple of us died on Nabor the Forgotten because we were watching for his animation (which is rendered client-side) to finish before grappling back, only to discovered that it hadn't actually fired server-side (which was thankfully still properly telegraphed by the red circles.) The grappling in the Voria fight was... more harrowing than usual, but luckily the same lag that made the grapple promp take forever to show up also made it so she only tried to flee once.

    ...and then we discovered the lag was so bad the pillars weren't able to reliably protect us from Ondagor's Drain Soul.

    First party I was in failed at that point. Second group we got smart and stacked behind the same pillar to drop AoE heals and shields for everyone to get through it (which might have either been unnecessary thanks to a brief period of normal latency, or the correct workaround because I don't think the pillar actually failed at all), and had the DPS so we had to only go through that phase once.

    In retrospect, it actually made the completion even more satisfying... Not that I want to experience it ever again, especially with Ondagor the Mad. *shiver*
