New Puncturing Remedy...

Is this for real going live?

6100+ heal for casting puncture plus 0 to 6100+ armor for 5 seconds as well?

Might not be great for tanks but it seems OP as hell for other areas of the game like pvp.

Am I overestimating this?

Edit: I guess in PvP there is 60% less healing and thus less resists from this but man. When you look at it on paper it just seems so crazy.

I don't think it's going to be crazy, the heal and resists will be small and not worth it in PvP.

Compare this to new black rose dual wield...

Actually it looks interesting for PVE, if you like to put alkosh on backbar and risk it's uptime.
For PVP it may be used for some niche builds, but certainly it won't be meta.

@Stx , since S&B skills were nerfed into the ground in PvP, I don't think you'll want to waste a GCD on casting puncture which will deal no damage to speak of, and do 2.4k healing to you (for a significant stamina cost per -each- cast as opposed to some HoT running on you that will cost comparable resources for a single cast and will keep ticking for more than that without you wasting GCDs during that). Paying 1.15k stamina/s for a meager 2.4k HoT and 2.4k resists doesn't seem like it's remotely worth it, while Vigor will tick for 13.5k over 4 seconds in same setup (50% stronger ticks than spamming Remedy) for 2.5k stamina, and will free up GCDs for, well... actually doing damage with other abilities. ^^

@MartiniDaniels , I think it might be interesting for 3DD runs when you use Olorime backbar (no point having it on front, you proc it off wall of elements anyway) and tanking a lot of hard-hitting trash (think Blackrose). But I still think that newly buffed Asylum S&B might still be more useful for resource management.

On reflection, I could see a niche use in pvp on a class that has no native minor protection or major fracture - using this on the back bar every so often, perhaps even paired with tremorscale, to keep your resists up and the opponent's down. Even then it seems like a fairly high opportunity cost.
