Just like any other 5 piece pve armour set through questing added in to story content, i'm not saying thay have to be as good as undaunted stuff, we wouldn't want to upset veteran players who get pleasure from continuously grinding the same content, heaven knows vets get tetchy when they find out other people can get the same gear with no real effort....Cough.. perfected Vma.But the game is bigger then just pandering to the high end cp elitists it's much more inclusive then that.

Public dungeons and delves, World bosses, dolmens etc these already drop zone sets, and a few of those are used in pvp and end game pve - - you can make a lot of gold in the guild stores off several overland gear drops. So it would have to be something new, especially as we will also have the mythic items soon (also dropping overland).
I'm not against your idea, I just can't see a place for it in the current landscape, which is why I'd hoped you had a more fleshed out concept.

Keep in mind that great sets come from vet dungeons you can brainlessly solo (Kra'gh, Ilambris as examples). Effort in =! Quality of the gear. Heck, Spinner is an overland set you can buy for gold, and undaunted unweaver is a BOP dungeon locked set.

Forgive me i should have said some vets not all, but judgeing by the amount of talk on the forums about Perfected vma weapons seems like a touchy subject.
But i digress, Pretty much what i said before ,questing ,story content and the such.Just a way of getting a two piece bonus set without the repetitive side of having to do undaunted stuff.It hasnt got to be shooting lazerbeams like Zaan but somthing that would compliment basic builds and i doubt mythic items will be dropping that regularly.

DLC monster helmets are the only thing worth buying, and those are quite rare. And if by some miracle gold vendor will have DLC helmets - it is the ones that we already had, over & over. Newest set, as far as I remember was from Wolfhunter, a DLC that is almost 3 years old now...
Alternative way would be to add something similar to IC keys, that you can use to open chests in vaults that have dungeon gear, without doing the dungeon.
Also I have a thought.... imagine if we can for example dug out a random dungeon gear or even trial gear using the new scrying / archaeology system from the zone that has entrance to dungeon or trial (with extremely rare RNG chance that is)...
