MagSorc (In Search of a Build)

I am leveling a MagSorc for solo/small scale in Cyrodiil im looking for a build and I can not find one that looks acceptable. All I seem to find are Heavy Armor tanks that deal no dmg aside from benefiting off someone else damage.

I was thinking one of these set ups but I am not sure which, or if these are good.

Bright-Throats / Innate Axiom / 1pc Domi, Swarm Mother

Bright-Throats / Necro / 1pc Domi, Swarm Mother

I also saw something about running the 2 piece Chudan but I am not sure its worth it, if I can just run the armor skill.

Any recommendations would be great!

Heavy armor? No, never! Light it is!
BTB+Necro (or Alfiq) is meta. Use a monster two-piece, not mismatched single pieces. Preferrably Bloodspawn, but don't gold it out yet, nerfs incoming. Chudan is good to save a skill slot on a pet setup.

Ecfigies

Pretty much that, important to use all recovery glyph's also use infused gold weapons with shock damage and aim for max magicka and all impenetrable gear, also aim to be above 25k resist, 1 chudan and 1 skeleton helps with that and doesn't need proc.

Magsorc has the easiest build ever. Your damage and shields are buffed by Max Magicka.

For petsorc use Necroptence + Crafty/Bright-Throat, SnB backbar
For non-pet use Bright-Throat + Crafty, Resto backbar

I like Chudan so I don't have to use the armour skill and can slot more damage or second shield.

Bloodspawn is great, although getting nerfed in Greymoor.

Engine Guardian very popular.

That is every magsorc build for the past year, enjoy.

However next patch you probably want to incorporate Master Destro frontbar. So either run Arena backbar with Willpower, or a proc set like Warlock/Lich and build more spelldamage less recovery.

Builds are very basic and cheap for mag sorc a lot of good input above already that I would of just repeated. Good luck!

Malcolm, who mains a magsorc on PC EU, has a YouTube channel and seems to be the go to guy for that class.

Wait 2 weeks and then ask for a build. New patch is commming, so current top builds will not be that good anymore. Save money and mats.

If you want to use shields to stay viable, sadly you need to have a minimum of 45k ish magicka for your shields to have decent size, this alone makes building an interesting and unique magsorc build nigh impossible and extremely limiting imo. The latest nerf to dmg shields just put magsorc in an even more generic place then it already was..buildwise.
