Pacrooti escaped from his Сrown Store prison AGAIN!

I'm having an odd bug with Pacrooti replacing my character. When I load the game, he is there with my character - when I go into inventory or any other ui element, he is there in place of my character. This started just this afternoon, PC EU. Previous threads suggest this is a Crown Store bug, but I haven't even accessed that today.

I can use this code to temporarily get rid of him:

/script SetCrownCrateNPCVisible(false)

but upon entering the game again, he's back.

Worst part about this, apart from not being able to use my collections UI for my character is that this bug is also de-synching me from my group in trials. I find myself alone with just 11 chevrons! Not good for the healer, you know!

Anyone have a clue what this is, or how to permanently get rid of him? I had to drop from my trial as it had become unplayable.

Apparently, you haven't bought any crown crates lately. He won't go away until you buy some crates!

Seriously, though, I have no idea how to get rid of him or what causes the bug.

I can only suggest sending your information to the devs. Also, put this on the PTS too.

Get a squirt bottle and fill it with water, and when he follows you, squirt him and shout "No!" and he'll go away.

It's a feature/necessary side effect with the latest Lazy Writ Crafter update and discussed in the comments section of that add-on. Lazy Writ can now hide pets but does so by summoning Pacrooti which hides other characters and their pets, etc. If you open up the actual crate interface and exit again, he'll go away, for a little while. Until you look in a different menu or switch characters. I just rolled back to a previous version until I have the time to fiddle with the settings so it doesn't do that.

Lol, seems like Pacrooti turned into the ESO version of a creeper from minecraft or scp-173 from scp-containment breach.

Just turn off the Hide Pets feature in Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter. This is a side effect of that. It's actually kind of cute, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, this new feature in the addon *also* hides other players if you're grouped with them...which isn't so great. You can't see or interact with them. The game treats them as if they're in a different instance, but porting to them does not solve the issue. You have to drop group, disable Lazy Writ Crafter, or turn off the "hide other's pets" feature for them to become visible.

I do use Lazy Writ Crafter and I DID have the 'hide pets' setting on - I absolutely HATE pets at crafting stations! I can switch that setting off until it can be made to work right.

I also use Bandit's and thought it was the 'khajiit mode' from that at first and it was enabled even though I'd had it disabled before. (I fiddled with it once, then set it back to normal when I saw that gambling idiot cat), but even with that set to off - and tried removng Bandit's - he was still there.

At least now I can remove him and go back to my trials!

If you use bandits UI make sure you aren't clicking on the 'khajiit option', it makes him pop out.

"Hide Pets" should be a base-game option under gameplay settings.

If you have the hide pets option enabled in Lazy Writ Crafter but want to see other people, going into your mail interface seems to be a quick way to restore them.

Really, though, I'm surprised more people aren't taking advantage of the fact that this gives us the ability to place Pacrooti anywhere we want, and then take screenshots!

He stopped by a house I'm working on to enjoy a quick bath before relaxing by the fire.


I even caught him hanging out with one of my characters and a local merchant. I'm not entirely sure what discussions might have taken place while they were all shooting the breeze.

He's chasing me around tonight, too. Figures -- I just turned on the "hide pets" option in Lazy Writ Crafter (my favorite ever add-on) and Pacrooti popped up. Can we please hide him, too? I hate that dude.

Guess I'll have to shut that option off until the bugs get sorted out.

This explains so much. I had no idea the addon was doing this.

Nodes disappearing from right under me, sorc effects streaking away, I thought it was bots or an exploit lol.
