The "dye stamp only" colors, a possible ESO+, gems, or crown store item?

It would be very cool to have some way to add the "dye stamp only" colors as an actual outfit store usable single dye color. Given they are already in the game in a way it does not seem like it would be hard for them to be implemented.



Perhaps they could sell a crown store house item dye station that allows a player to take a dye stamp and deconstruct it and choose to obtain one of the 3 colors use in that stamp? This would suddenly encourage a lot of people to purchase crown to buy the house item used to do this AND buy dye stamps with new colors they do not have. There are a lot of people that would probably end up spending quite a lot to make all of the colors available.

I imagine the point of the exclusive colours is to try to give players a reason to buy dye stamps, but at least for me it doesn't do that. Dye stamps are just too restrictive - there's only a tiny selection available at any time, and you can't swap the colours around at all. I actually prefer to wait for an ESO+ trial or wait until I've got lots of changes to make to costumes and then buy a month of ESO+ to dye them rather than using the stamps. Even the dye stamp you get from levelling up I just stick on a costume that character never uses to get it out of my inventory.

So under the current system these colours are irrelevant to me. I'm not going to buy dye stamps with or without them, so I just don't use them and generally forget that they even exist. But if I could buy these colours and then use them like normal dye without all the restrictions of the stamps I might well do that. (Unless they're too expensive of course, make them around 200-400 crowns like adornments and hairstyles and I'll buy the colours I like. 500+ and I'll stick with in-game dyes.)

Agree 100%. I'd make a lot of use of a system like that as I am a sucker for iridescent colours. I don't buy dye stamps, but something like this would make me blow a lot of crowns on them!

Agree, except for this part.

There are a lot of other games with systems like that, and because they are RNG heavy and mostly "player negative" experiences, they turn people off really heavily.

Just make it straightforward. Sell the color. Make it a plus-exclusive to purchase, if just selling the dye unlock isn't enough for some reason.

Yeah when I say you get one color it would not be a RNG chance to get one of the three colors. I figured more click deconstruct dye stamp, it pops up three color tiles on the stamp, you pick which one you want. If the stamp has two colors you already have and one you dont you get the third color by default. If you try to deconstruct a stamp you already own all the colors on it simply blocks it telling you you already have the colors unlocked.

Much like any other crate item if you get a stamp with colors you have from a crate you could gem it to get a stamp with a color you still need.

Agreed, I'd buy some of those colors if they worked as a permanent unlock. Dye stamps are very inconvenient, not only they're one use only and time limited, the colors are not always available in a combination you want. And you cannot even use them on custom outfits.

Definitely, particularly that black. There's a lack of good black dyes in the game - the best I have is the vampire one.

It would be nice to be able to use the dye stamp colors in the outfit station. I'd buy a pack of dyes if they just dropped these in the crown store. One-use stamps though? Tough call, unless the three just happen to be the colors I want and I don't happen to have those or any similar dyes unlocked for outfits.
