Good to see that this game is still garbage after 2 years taking a break.

Started to play this game when Wrothgar DLC was relevantly new, and then stopped playing after a year or so cause I figured out that this game is wayyyyyy too restricting (even for eso+ players.) and that it's wayyyyyyy too grindy for my taste, it left a bad taste in my mouth that they would butcher up the Elder scrolls, if they wanted to make a MMORPG, then they should have done it very rewarding, instead of restricting everything.
I'm not saying "give me everything." but atleast give us something for dealing with tough bosses, quests, or something, not just another gear that we can't use, or another weapon that we don't need.

Anywho, took a 2 years break cause I was over the game, came back recently, had to pay 15 dollars AGAIN for that eso+ membership, only to see that this game is STILL restrictive, the community of this game is STILL toxic and unhelpful, and I don't know, the guilds i've joined..kinda helpful, but not entirely, the zone chat usually just filled with the same *** where NOONE wants or can help me with world bosses, public dungeons, etc., is it too much for me to ask for a quest buddy in a MMORPG game that is suppose to be social? No.

I'm gonna try the game out until the end of this month (not letting that eso+ ship go to waste.) but I am not seeing a bright future for ESO at all, and I don't find it suprising how so many other MMORPG players are giving this game *** ton of smack for it aswell, I really don't find it suprising how many people don't want to even try this game cause of how much bad rep it's gotten. *shrugs*
Anywho, rant over.

I don't understand. If you hate the game so much, why did you come back to it? I understand that MMOs are deliberately fashioned to cultivate addiction (that's how they suck money from their customers) but... clearly something made you both return to the game and for some reason think you "needed" to subscribe to play it again (you didn't). What was that thing?

Majority of people here on forum tells that writing and voicing of quests makes them worth doing, even without reward and actual gameplay... so I guess questing in this game is just not for you (and me). Try group content, it is much more demanding and more rewarding.

Not sure if your on pc or console, but for a console MMO it's probably the best one out there.

I will respond since you took the time to post this on the forum. I assume that you came to this game not because it was an mmo but because it is an elder scrolls game. You may have come at it with unrealistic expectations. This is not "skyrim with friends." It is a vast world with literally millions of people playing with a huge variation in skill. Also, being an mmo, grinding is required. Content is hard. Now, this being an ES game, they have actually diled down the grind and made it more open. It now sits somewhere between a single player es game and a traditional mmo. But a lot of what you seem to be complaining about are the inherent mmo aspects of the game... which it is. But, maybe mmos are not for you... thats ok. If you are going to come at this with an open mind, I'd suggest finding an active guild. They are great in helping other guild members out running content or crafting gear. Way better than just throwing out a request in zone (which I don't really find toxic 95% of the time). I truly believe that this community is way more helpful that the majority of mmo communities out there. And, if you are on na pc and are having problems finding a helpful guild or just need some crafting done, send me an in game mail and I'll help you if I can. My @ name is @knightoftacoma. Good luck!

All MMO's tend to be grindy. Gear is meant to farmed/earned. Unlike in FPS where you race to where the gear spawns.

This is one of the least grindy MMORPGs out there.

If you want to play a grindy MMORPG - go try out Black Desert Online. That's what a real grind looks like.
