Class. Skills. The other sets you will be using instead. Any information?

I was just wondering in general. If it were paired with something like Hundings or a trial set. I know the meta is high crit, high crit damage. Using the Maelstrom on both bars and using agility for a three piece is solid overall stat wise but it wouldn't get the high crit values. Just wondering if anyone thought it viable and maybe any suggestions as what set to pair with it.

Maelstrom DW isn’t great in Harrowstorm, but it’s looking more powerful in Greymoor. The only problem is that single target DoTs have been pretty useless since Dragonhold, so I’m not sure if even the Maelstrom DW can make things like Poison Injection, Rending Slashes and Consuming Trap worthy of a bar slot. Back when it was meta a lot of Stam DKs used it with Venom Claw, Noxious Breath and Rearming/Barbed Trap. However a StamDK using that set now will have to give up Stone Giant for Flurry, removing their powerful group utility with the Stagger debuff.

I was thinking on a stamcro that usually uses flurry and being the spammable in a rotation and being buffed?

if you are into using 2 Arena weapons, you should consider using two 5pieces set also.

the idea of having an arena weapon on backbar is to keep 5pieces bonus on front.

i suggest you to check if the Arena weapon you want to use performs better than a monster-set.

I could see Stamcro working well. Their passive 15% increased DoT damage makes several skills viable that would be weak on other classes. With a rotation something like:
    Blastbones, Flurry, DoT 1
    Blastbones, Flurry, DoT 2
    etc.

You should also check if Detonating Siphon is still buffed by Maelstrom DW. This did work at one point, but I’m not sure if it still does. Although it seems more like an AoE IMO, it is/was classified as single target because you have to cast it and tether onto a corpse.

Flurry is a single target dot, right... So bb, flurry, flurry. Which is a standard rotation for many builds

Mmm, they changed the set a while ago, it buffs now next dots in 4 seconds for smaller amount instead of next dot for a huge one.

@zvavi You're right. That makes it easier to use, but a little strange to fit with Blastbones. Maybe something like:

Blastbones, Flurry, DoT 1, DoT 2
Blastbones, Flurry, DoT 3, DoT 4
Blastbones, Flurry. DoT 5, DoT 6

Where the 6 DoTs are Hail, Archer, Siphon, Rending Slashes, Poison Injection, Trap? Only the last 3 or 4 benefit from the Maelstrom DW effect, but Hail and Archer are important for other reasons. This is all a guess, I’m interested in hearing results and if these weapons can be competitive again.

With the upcoming added damage I'm sure it could be effective with certain rotations. I was just considering it because I thought it buffed subsequent flurries.

You don't have to do 3 skills between blastbones,
    Blast dot1 dot2
    Blast flurry dot3
    Blast dot4 flurry
    Blast dot5 dot6
    Blast dot1 dot2.(dot 1&2 are aoe)

But then again I might be horribly wrong after all my experience with stamcro is nonexistent :D
