I like how ZoS comes up with Rp type of costume's. I have so far got them all and this one is just as good to me! I will use it when I am Jewelry Crafting & making enchants...
How you like it?

I like the costume, it got a bit of a flamboyant rogue/bard vibe too it.

I wasn't expecting to like this outfit, as the theme doesn't appeal to me. But with the goggles being separate, it's actually a very nice look and works on a lot of my characters.

It looks great on female characters due to the corset like roping in the middle section. As another poster says, it's quite flamboyant.

I think this will work really well as a pants-alternative for players with a character they want to wear the Antiquarian's Robes a lot of the time. It has a similar feel and style.

Nicely done costume! The only issue is the glasses do not appear equipped with certain appearance combinations. I was using the Breton hero costume and werewolf hunter's hat. Its actually was kind of nice because when my character interacted with a work station it would remove the hat but then the glasses would appear, so looked looked a professional crafter!

Seriously, it previews in game a lot better than the showcase image suggests. I was ready to give it a pass too, but it's actually a really good looking costume.

I previewed the costume on several of my characters. It makes the female characters look fatter, at least in the preview.
I'm not buying it unless I see that it doesn't look that way in the game.
*EDIT* Saw it in the game and it looked great, so I bought it. Can confirm that it does NOT make them look fat in the game. The crown store preview is a little off.

I like it but not enough to buy it... however

If I could get it just from the waist up, like motif chest piece, that would be awesome 🤩🤩🤩🤩

In fact, if ZOS is looking for crown store ideas just take all the current costumes and chop them of at the belt and hands so we can use motif gloves, then sell the torso in the store 😇😍😇😍😇😍

Seriously ZOS... name ya price... 😇😇😇😇

I like it, the glasses being a separate item is a really nice touch. Now I can make that glasses wearing nerd mage I always wanted. I'm also a fan of clothing options that look like they can be used for adventuring, while not being an armor at the same time. So I'd prefer less dresses and more things like this, both in costumes and in motifs.

I'm on the fence with this one and appreciate the screenshots to help see how well it dyes. I count four colors out of the box (green cloth, blue cloth, black leather, gold trim). It appears that your three dye slots cover all except the gold trim. If that is correct, that is good news - don't want black boots. Can anyone confirm the only part that you can't dye is the gold trim?

EDIT: Bought the costume and am pleased enough. The tunic & legs are one color you can dye. All the leather is another color. The silk underblouse (neck & upper sleeves) is the third color. The gold trim is not dyable.

Didn't like the preview very much and the pics here (many taken from a three quarter view, rather than from straight on) haven't really reassured me.

It made my char look bigger, in general, but a greater concern was that, like many/most costumes with longer tops, it made her look like she is bigger at the bottom (compared with the top) than she actually is.

In preview, it looks like it's another one that is designed only for the default body proportion sliders and the jacket will, therefore, stick out beyond her hips and butt.

The only outfit I really like, with a long top, is the Maid's Outfit.

As the bottom half of the top is painted on, so it doesn't suffer from this massive overhang issue and actually fits my char's shape really well.

I would love an upper thigh-length version of the maid's top, with a pair of plain leggings and some nice suede boots (maybe a bit like the boots from the Holiday in Balmora outfit).

However, I guess that as soon as they made it a top and leggings combo, it would suffer with the same issues as this one, as it couldn't just be painted on, anymore?

Also, the Gem Prospector Outfit exascerbates my char's massive thigh gap, which she shouldn't really have, given that she doesn't have wide hips and still has pretty large calves...

The upper, inner thighs are made a bit too small, compared with the rest of the female legs, basically.

When my char sprints, she looks like she has bandy legs.

When you're creating your character, if you make the outer silhouette look right, and the legs look the right size from the side and most of the leg look the right size from the front/back, you inevitably end up with a big gap at the top of the thigh.

That shouldn't really be the case, unless you make a char with both big hips and (generally) very slim legs.

    ...but, I digress.

IMHO with out the goggle it looks pretty good. With the goggles it look kind of silly.

I like it on female characters. It seemed a little meh on my males, though.
    p6Phj8Q.png
I've dyed it with Motif Master Brown, Pellitine Coral, and Hollowfang Cruor.

I was a little worried that the goggles would have been considered the hat of the outfit, but the fact that they're separate and can be used on their own or otherwise ignored is great. This'll probably be the costume of choice for my younger Imperial now seeing as it suits her personality.

Cool outfit, i really like it. Glasses are not bad, but they don't work with some hats.

I just wish that ZOS gave the opportunity to use the non-cleavage version on female characters. Give me options and let me choose what works best for my character - its sold for real money, I don't think developing 4 versions is excessive.

I think it looks nice, I like costumes which look like normal clothing you might see the NPCs in towns wearing. But I don't think it's worth the price for me.

OK...gave the costume a second look because of a lot of the comments here and ended up buying it. At first I didn't like it because it seemed to not follow my character's slim shape, but true to the comments here, it fits better in person then what you see on the preview viewer. It is a good costume and I'm happy with it :)
