Utility of rattlecage for DPS

So rattlecage is a heavy armor set, but i was curious what the community think about using the weapons and jewelry from rattle cage for a magika dps role. Rattlecage gives great bonuses but is heavy armor. But if one were to apply rattlecage to jewelry and weapons it wouldnt take away from the light armor pasives gained from wearing all light armor, while gaining great bonuses from rattlecage.

It doesn't actually give great bonuses. Its five-piece effect is Major Sorcery, which everyone gets from a class skill or a potion. The set has seen some use in PVP for builds that struggle to fit in a Major Sorcery skill and want to use tri-pots, but in PVE it's redundant.

7-day PVP campaign regular 2016-2019, Flawless Conqueror. MagDK/stamplar/stamwarden/mageblade. Requiem, Legend, Knights of Daggerfall. Currently retired from the wars; waiting on performance improvements.

It was used in old pvp meta when everyone (except stamblade and magsorcs) had to use heavy armor unless they want to die in seconds. Now it is a bad set.
