The original release was May 10th for PC. What probably happened was that the site was never updated when the release date was changed.
May 10th is a Sunday. That was never the release date. When the delay was announced, it was stated as "only one week" -- given that it's now slated for the 26th, I'd wager that originally meant the 19th.

I made a thread to point out that the announcement said "Last chance" and I wasn't sure whether that meant the pre-purchase bonus reward was going to be discontinued sooner than expected or if it just meant that these are the final weeks in which to pre-purchase Greymoor. That question has now been answered in this thread, so feel free to go back to ignoring it. o:)

You could probably also ask for the thread to be closed now, since it was answered, to prevent the scambots from continuing to vomit up their opinions in it.

So u got sucked into purchasing it earlier than u wanted?

No, because all along I had been planning to wait until May, and I didn't have a specific date in mind. :)

@ZOS_Chiroptera I may be remembering things wrong but in previous years there would be a period between the early PC release and proper console release where you would still get pre-purchase rewards when buying the chapter for PC.
Has this changed? If so, why?

This morning as I was logging out of ESO, I noticed that one of the launcher news items said that this is the "last chance" to pre-purchase Greymoor and receive the bonus rewards. I clicked on the item and was taken to the old news announcement on the website, but there was no mention of any cut-off date for getting the bonus rewards by pre-purchasing Greymoor, so it might just be that the "last chance" announcement will be up from now until the release date. Anyway, I went ahead and pre-purchased it, because after having played Greymoor for a bit on the PTS I'm really looking forward to it. Not sure if the pre-purchase bonus rewards will be discontinued before the release date, but thought I'd mention the announcement just in case.

Glad you got it !! @SeaGtGruff

long as you’re having fun. that is all that matters. enjoy the bonus items :)

I think the guild rate is 225 on pc n.a., 400 on pc eu. It will likely be 3,500 crowns, based on previous chapters becoming dlc's.

So it could be 400 x 3,500 = 1,400,000 gold. That's still not too bad if you've got that kind of gold to spend.

It is actually doable in a reasonable time if you have a lot of level 50's, one of which will be your main crafter. Just do your daily writs on all your characters every day, or rather every two days, picking them up one day, and doing them the other day, followed by the other day's round of writs, meaning 14 writs per character per two days.

Leave all your characters, bar the main crafter, untrained, to keep the materials requirements for the daily writs down.

You will get 5k gold in gold rewards and sold gear drops, plus a lot of crafting mats and upgrade mats. Also surveys and treasure maps. You main crafter, if fully trained, will also occasionally get Master writs, and will be able to refine the top tier upgrade materials.

Do your writs, hoard the surveys and treasure maps on your main crafter, collect them periodically, refine the raw mats, sell the high value upgrade mats and stocks of refined top tier mats at your guild trader.

Do the Master Writs, spend your vouchers on items that sell well.

It can get tedious after a while, but that is how I got so many expensive achievement furnishings and furniture plans, plus a nice collection of Monster sets from the Golden Merchant.

That right there (but not the rest that I chopped out) is almost exactly what I've been doing on the PC NA server, except that I did level up two of my other characters a tad-- one character is at the second level (materials-wise) in all lines, and another is at the second level in Blacksmithing but still at the first level in everything else. I'll probably level the one character up again at some point, but I'm in no hurry.

The nice thing about crafting at the lowest level is that it requires the least amount of materials, as you said. But it's also nice to have crafters at different levels-- both in terms of crafting skills and their overall character level-- so it's still possible to farm a variety of the lower-level materials.

Anyway, I've surpassed 2.5 million gold for the first time on PC NA, and unless I break down and buy another house (which has been on my mind, either the house in Wayrest due to its proximity to the master writs dropoff point, or a house in a zone wheree I don't own any property yet), I should hit 3 million before much longer.

It's funny that I resisted any urge to buy ESO in its early days because I was against the idea of buying a game and then having to pay a monthly subscription to play it, and when I finally did buy it (because I found out that a monthly subscription was no longer required) I swore to myself that I wouldn't spend any more real money on it, only in-game gold. But then I had to buy Crowns with real money to get more DLCs (since I wasn't an ESO+ member), and had to buy the new chapters with real money as well. And now, as of the beginning of this year, I'm finally an ESO+ member and happy to be one. I can't imagine ever going back to playing the game without the craft bag or the increased bank space.

So in theory, I should probably be one of the people who are always trying to buy Crowns with in-game gold, or paying another player in-game gold to buy me new chapters as a gift, etc. But I'm extremely leery of the possibility of getting scammed that way, and given the amount of time I've been playing the game I truly don't mind spending more money on it-- although I try to buy Crowns only when they're on sale, and then in the quantity that gives the largest discount; and I decided to buy the 1-year ESO+ subscription because it gave the lowest per-month rate, and I got a discount from Steam on top of that by being able to apply some Steam Store thingies that I'd earned the week before from buying a large number of Crowns on sale, a win-win.

So even though I'm now perfectly happy to keep spending additional real money on a game that I love to play every day, I can also totally understand the players who would rather get everything with in-game gold if at all possible.

    @SeaGtGruff Just a little disclaimer here. :)

I am an ESO+ player, and I do not buy Crowns with gold myself. I just tried to offer a method of earning a lot of gold tested and used extensively by myself.

I am a home decorator and I like fashion in ESO, which are two quite costly areas, as far as gold is concerned, and can also be costly Crownswise. I have bought a lot of Crowns during the 40% sales, because I love Costumes and such.

I actually hadn't meant to post that. I mean, I started to write it, along with a lot more, but then I wasn't sure how to express what I wanted to say, so I just left it unfinished (hence the lack of ending punctuation) and didn't post it. But later, when I was replying to a different post, that snippet got included from where it had been auto-saved to draft. Ah, well.

To be honest, after my original post didn't get any replies for two days, I was surprised to visit the forum and see that it had suddenly gotten a dozen or so replies. But it's original purpose has been served, so you're probably right that it's time for the thread to be closed.

I want too but all Greymoor looks to me is a mobile game within a game with this antiquities thing which I have no interest in what so ever, and Vamp changes are just poop (and yes I've been on pts)

Vamp sucks as it is now though

I think the extra mount is the only pre-purchase reward, although of course I had to get the digital collector's upgrade for the other goodies.

I prepurchased Geymoor today and got the horse. So the prepurchase rewards seems to be working fine, at least for me - and it's still available for prepurcahse.

The only thing that confused me was how it says Geymoor is now available for early access on PC. But it isn't. At least not as far as I can tell.

The Vampire Changes are going to be part of the base game I'm told, and not anything specific to Greymoor.

Available for purchase, maybe, but not to play-- unless it was saying available to test now on the PTS?

Yes, @TequilaFire, on PS4 the situation is different. Please see this support article for information on Greymoor's release for PS4.

Interesting that it only mentions the horse and none of the other prerelease rewards.

Pretty frustrating also to notice that PS4 players arent represented enough on these forums to put up enough of a fuss about this to push ZOS on this. Had this been PC the forums would be on fire.

Ah, I was confused about how many pre-purchase rewards there are, since only one of them (the mount) is awarded early. But there are indeed additional pre-purchase rewards, which are separate from the digital collector's edition rewards.

I wonder if ZOS has any control over that, or if it's all Sony? I see that the second post in the following thread refers to "circumstances outside of ZOS's control":

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6561050/#Comment_6561050

That thread also suggests that all of the pre-purchase rewards will be available for PS4 customers.

Maybe. I'm not sure what it meant.

But unless I'm seeing things (and I guess that's possible) it did advertise that it was now available for early access on PC.

Good luck with it. Personally I'm not giving ZOS any more money until cyrodiil is playable.

Oddly, most of use would pay more to stop nerfing PvE, because people are OP in PvP with some ridiculous build.
