TESO installs JRE folder in the Windows folder

I stumbled over a jre folder in my Windows folder, I checked what else installed at the exact same date and time and noticed a folder neamed Zero G Registry
Inspecting .com.zerog.registry.xml shows that The Elder Scrolls Online added the jre folder.
My question is, why is Zenimax still using this old outdated and unsecure piece of crap called java, especially on the client side of all things?
It surely can't be that hard to create a launcher that does not depend on others leftovers.

Because no one wants to code in C++ or .NET anymore, so they are left with unsecure open-source garbage to tinker with.2 -

El_PloploSoul ShrivenBecause Java is neither outdated or insecure and is perfect to support multiple platform at the same time. In fact C is way more insecure than Java since you can access pretty much every thing in your memory if your code is badly written.
The only problem with Java is that it is slower that more advanced language like C++ but it is irrelevant for something as little consuming as a launcher.

Lady_Linux✭✭✭✭✭.net is really for the birds proprietary crap that really tries to lock apps into windows only, no porting, harder to run under wine, etc etc....
We want to play this game on linux... natively would be great, but at all is acceptable. more of that, less of windows only junk... and buy junk i mean being restricted only to windows makes it junky...
