Commanding TWO pets

Fearfully I am going to try working through normal Maelstrom arena. I am planning on using the easy sorc 1 bar 2 pet build since my main is a Sorc BUT I never use pets so: I understand you can use the "Command Pet" button to force them to use their special ability - but what happens if I command pet with 2 pets out? Do they both use their special ability or is there a way to command only 1?

✭✭✭1 button press 1 action
button summons (if not already) , then commands one pet once pre-press (until it's dead)
so commanding each pet is a separate action bound to a sperate skill slot
ie 4 for Imp, 5 for twighlight (as an example on PC)

blendertoes✭✭✭The Command Pet function is separate from the pet abilities. Command Pet sets the target for the pet if it is off attacking something you don’t want. The pet abilities are activated by pressing the assigned skill button again as described above.1
