CP Idea:
- Make max 810 cp percentages the soft cap
- Make these current percent numbers reachable at 600 slotted CP (or whatever you believe should be soft max)
- Make all further cp able to be slotted but at a great diminished return (ex. Each poin .005%, 600 CP = 1%)
- keep the current exponential curve for exp gain
- this would make a 1200 cp only have 1% difference in 1 category in on slotted item.
- Guide builders could build for 600 CP because this would be the soft cap and any other cp slotted would be almost negligible


or just make a bunch of ideas and do a community poll IMO

    Uhm... you DO know the whole CP system was designed with diminishing returns built into it from the start? ALL of it?

    Together with the increasing cost... well, it made for a ever increasing slowing down in performance gain in higher levels, so... in a way, we already have this, and way more elegant then with some arbitrary "810" number.

    The thing is, they are not completely satisfied with the actual effect, so... that is why they froze progression to take a look at it.

    My CP ideas:
    • - Halve the gains in ecceftiveness from each CP put into the current stars.
    • - Add sub-stars to cover the other half, but more specialized. Like, the main star gives bonus to all staves, the sub stars give specific boni to flame, shock, ice or resto staves. The main star gives bonus to all weapons, the sub-stars give boni for swords, maces, axes, daggers, bows... the main star gives bonus to all light armor damage resistance, the sub stars give DR against specific damage types... the main star boosts all resource recovery, the sub-stars boost them when standing still, or during combat, or when running, or... etc. Something along those lines, so people can either have all bonis and run into diminishing results sooner, or split the CP but have to be more selective about their items...
    • - Also add more "independent" stars for non-combat advantages to tempt people to spend their CP there as well. Could be locates -around- the current selection, under the sign of the serpent? Keeping the limits for the warrior-mage-thief signs only, and letting people spend whatever they wish in the "serpent" (since its non-combat anyhow)? Or making it 1-1-1-1, and requiring people to fill up the serpent first before they get to spend new CP elsewhere? (meaning, at 810 for examplel they all had 270 in each, and would have to spend the next 270 in the serpent before they could spend a single CP more in the old regions... at 1080... and meaning a quarter of all CP gained has to go to non-combat stuff furthermore, which should slow down the power creep a bit...

    The whole system is going to get replaced. Not a tweak, not a slight turn. A rework!. Wait and see what comes.
