Need More Storage Space

Adding storage chests 2 years ago was a nice idea and necessary. But now after 5 years of collecting sets, bank space is full, all my characters are full, and storage chests are full. Anyone else like this? If you've played this game for awhile, you're bound to have collected sets that you don't want to delete, because ZOS keeps making changes and that set may be relevant again. So you want to just store it. But all spaces are full. I could use 20 more storage chests to unload my characters. It's been 2 years since ZOS added the chests, and every quarter they add new sets and/or make changes to existing sets. That means we are all changing the sets we use or want to try a new build and go back to something you already have.

The craft bag can hold nearly 5 billion items. Not sure why we can't get another 20 chests in our house or whatever.

I think there's plenty of space. If you have ESO+, and you can't fit your stuff in the huge amount provided, you might have a hoarding problem.

Perhaps, but I'm certainly not the only one. I've been playing this game since 2015. I play both PvE and PvP at a high level, which means I have acquired a lot of meta gear and not-so-meta gear. It fills up space when you need whole new sets every patch or two.

Again, if the craft bag can hold near limitless items, there is no reason we can't get a few hundred more storage spaces.

I want to see how much of the population is in the same boat.

my storage got full recently after the anniversary event, but that was only because I had 150 motifs, 120 surveys, and 100 master writs. Once I whittled everything down and sold stuff, it went back to normal. It just seems like you would never need more than 2 or 3 sets on each alt. Do you have the 205 slots on each alt?

I have 8 characters...all get played at different times. None are just gear holders. So they all have acquired gear over the years when doing PvE or PvP. They all have max slots. I have all 8 chests in my house, and even use my own guild bank to store other gear and motifs to sell.

oh there's your problem! Buy 10 more char slots! Thats 2050 more inventory slots right there. Problem solved!

In all seriousness, unless I'm currently using a set, I just deconstruct it. I figure I can farm the set if I need all the pieces and thats better than keeping all that gear ill never need.

Same here. It's the events that clog up my bank and inventories. So much to do, so little time. [snip]

    My two septims would be...

...adding a little individual bank space, upping that to 250 (500 with ESO+)

...adding a lot in terms of guild bank expansion options, as guold projects that every member can donate basic crafting resources for, say, five stages a 100 items each, up to a total maximum of 1000 items

...and adding some sort of "furniture storehouse" to the bank services, especially so people can upgrade housing, dumping all the old furniture into a "storehouse", and then playing it in the new house in one go rather then to have to ferry it over with dozends of trips due to inventory restrictions.

Other then that, well, it would be better to encourage people not to hoard overly much (I know I have too much stuff), just like a certain Shadowscale does indeed tell you in "Murkmire"... very good would be to think long and hard about all the dungeon stuff being BoP, and make all the older stuff BoE so people can sell it in guild stores, darnit! That would also make many people happy who -still- haven#t gotten "their" weapon to drop after dozend runs...

I like the idea of a furniture storehouse, though I end up selling a lot of the old furniture since most is pretty low quality looking anyways.

And yeah. Bind on Equip would literally solve half of the inventory space woes. I ended up going through quite a few sets that I don't use or want anymore because I no longer run the content that needs it--so if I need it again I can just re-farm it.It'd also allow people to get into progression groups a whole heck of a lot faster. I thought it was a pretty useless change when they swapped it to BoP because sure, while it gets people in those dungeons and trials--it also keeps some out because no one wants to spend potentially months getting a weapon or a jewelry piece to drop (I'm looking at you City of Ash).

I simply must protest. There are no Penguin avatars for me to use in the forums.

    BTW, I use arch too

I have one character just for provisioning and rare style mats. If you don't have plus, then I would suggest doing this. You could always buy the character slot with gold.

I would suggest asking yourself which gear would be easy to get again if it was buffed? Get rid of the easy stuff.

Keep jewellery and weapons as they are harder to get. I keep one weight of each monster helm and shoulder. General clothing of the above, just get shot of it.

You really don't need any body pieces for sets that are not currently good.

The problem is a lot of it is gold. If I decon it for the 1 temp/rosin/wax, and I then want to use that item again, it's such a waste.

Unless you have gold gear, just get shot of it. It is easy to replace; far easier than you realise. It's just not worth the hassle of keeping it and clogging up your inventory.

For example, I have two tank sets, one for my main, and the other which is shared between the rest of them, and they are all tanks. They all have their own dps set which is worn, but that's it. The gear in the chests I follow the previous rule above.

Not in the same boat here.

    1300 CP, +3 years, 9 chars, ESO+, 1 storage chest (30 slots), 480 bank slots.

No character holds more than 6 items in their inventory (no mules) and my bank is half full. My 1 storage chest holds mostly Cyrodiil consumables.

In my case two things help (besides ESO+):
    1. I only maintain a couple of modest houses and use a big (free) palace as a furnishings warehouse.
    2. I don't chase after elite/gimmick/fotm sets. Many of the long-established tried and true sets have always worked well for me and continue to do so.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

This is the top reason I practically quit playing ESO.

Don't mind people who say you have a hoarding problem. The game is intentionally designed to take advantage and exacerbate your problem. Inventory clogging is and has always been a Bethesda trademark. This game is made to punish gamers like us.

I spend more time arranging my inventory than actually play the game. And it's never going to get better, because it's also tied into how they milk cash out of players. I guess it's also tied to their db costs. There are tons of games out there who have mostly solved this problem (Destiny, Diablo, even WoW), but it will never change for ESO. I'll start paying again if it does.

I just want a dang furniture bag with no limit.
