I don't even want the fish, just the achievement for the boat. I do not have the patience for it.
Would not be fun if they changed it now for the people that allready got it, although this seems a bit more fun.
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.

Yes, please. Final Fantasy XIV made a real fun minigame for fishing. Archeage is pretty fun too. The current system is just so bland, boring, tedious, so, pretty much just like the Warcraft version, the one that makes me want pluck my eyes out if I do it for a couple of minutes.

    No thank you.
That looks lame as ever and akin to a Hello Kitty/my little pony game

I have an idea, since lately there are more and more requests for all kinds of 1-6 years old content.

Since, because of reasons, there are no children at all in ESO, in every city, they could assign one house to be kindergarten, house will be instanced like Taverns, so all of those peeps that want those 1-6 years mini-games, they can enter that house and select on of the children mini games. Fishing, candy crush, jumping puzzles...
And also as a feature, once you enter kindergarten house, you are morphed to random child look.

Mini games are SO not my thing. However, if it got added, I'd just ignore it. Doesn't even look like fun really. I don't play games on my mobile as it's antique and doesn't work here at my house; even if I had a brand new whatever that worked here, I wouldn't play dumb mobile games.

I am afraid we would get a minigame based on this...

Give me freediving fishing, in a much more engaging fasion than Skyrim, but similar. Give me underwater environments, with shipwrecks, slaughterfish schools (and solos), caves/tunnels/rivers with currents that can take you to delves, public dungeons, and world bosses. Imagin poking your head in a hole in the bottom of the ocean, to be swept by the current into a cavern with a massive Falmer event, or a pack of sightless trolls that extinguishes light periodically, forcing players to think about more than just DPS/HPS in a fight.

And I'm not talking mini-game here, I'm talking full blown game feature, with sets that support underwater movement and survivability, a diving animation with a channel time that changes based on how long you want to try to swim underwater, a single button press that will guide you to the surface at a very slightly slower rate than you could manually do it.

IIRC, the underwater stuff can't happen in ESO due to game-engine limitations.

Right. They never put that into the game. They did session on that that explained how much work it is.

You'd really hate fishing if you did it IRL then. I know I've spent several hours on the bank of a creek/river and not caught anything but a buzz and some rays. The only difference between IRL and ESO fishing is I catch a lot more fish in a short amount of time than I'm likely to catch via the same amount of time IRL.
