Y'all just dont get it. This was the trial run for the actual game. Mark my words, ESO 2.0 is coming and they promise it will all work like its supposed to.

    Everyday I'm happier I didn't buy graymor.

Can they talk with as? Tell here on forum or on main web what happend, why servers dont work, its possible to fix it?

This is probably one of a billion threats so far about the server lag.
However, I wanted to mention that I have played this game since it was first available to the public, and I have seen some bad lag in the past.
After a few weeks of not playing, I couldn't help but notice that the lag on the EU server currently is extremely bad. And I mean, really really really bad. I have never seen the lag is so bad in this game before. I have seen some hiccups where server lag was temporarily extreme but that was temporary. The current lag is constant and that makes a hugely different experience. Since ZOS wants to see constructive feedback on the game on the forums, I present the following issues caused by lag:
    - Abilities don't work by pressing the designated buttons unless you press them like a monkey on speed.
    - Dodging doesn't work
    - Getting stunned or knocked in the sky (such as with Take Flight) literally is delayed by several seconds and gets you glued to the ground for several seconds.
    - Snares completely glue you to the ground and disallow you to use any ability or form of movement.
    - Enemies dodging your attacks renders them invulnerable for not just a moment, but sometimes over 3-5 seconds.
    - Damaging abilities simply don't 'land' on the enemy.
    - Healing abilities simply do not heal or only after several seconds have passed.
    - NPCs are sometimes invulnerable and teleport (slide) over the ground for seconds after being stunned.
    - Mounting gets you stuck in the whistling part of the animation for seconds.
    - People are rubber banding on screen.
    - Random loading screens appear in the middle of nowhere.
    - NPCs sometimes just appear out of nothing or disappear into nothing.
    - Snare immunity abilities (e.g. from Forward Momentum) don't activate at all.
    - Hard CC immunity abilities don't activate most of the time.
    - Hard CC immunity after breaking free doesn't activate most of the time.
    - Breaking free doesn't work > half of the time.
    - Animations of abilities often do not work or do not show their visual effect when active.
    - Animations of abilities stop halfway through the animation, costing resources but not applying the effect from the abilities.
    - After dodge rolling, the ability bar greys out (a.k.a. you cannot activate abilities) for several seconds.
    - Activating/using a potion is often impossible unless you really spam the button.
    - Damage from abilities 'arrive' seconds after actually dealing the damage. (also received damage arrives seconds after being dealt to the receiver).

In short: the lag is killing the PvP game.
It wouldn't hurt the game if some of the ESO: Plus money was actually spent on optimizing the servers or optimizing the games engine to reduce calculations needed on the server-side of the game.

    UPDATE for PvE issues:
    - Bosses lag out.
    - Skills do not fire.
    - NPCs are 'sliding' on the ground, and are often impossible to damage while they are 'sliding'.
    - Random serverside lag spikes instantly kill players.
    - Lots and lots of desyncs of resources (health, stamina, and magicka).
    - Delayed resource recovery.
    - Delayed damage 'hits' from direct damage abilities.
    - Delayed heal 'hits' from direct heal abilities.
    - Slow rendering of serverside content.
    - Rubberbanding of players.
    - Stuns caused by NPCs are delayed (delay between visual and actual effect).
    - CC immunity after hard CC often doesn't activate and leaves you open to a series of stuns (obviously caused by serverside lag) draining all your stamina (if you still have anything left).
    - Breaking free is sometimes 'blocked' even though the client-side of the game indicates that enough stamina resources are available.
    - Resources sometimes simply drain without reason.
    - Activating a buff or heal over time does play the visual but doesn't actually take into effect.
    - Activating potions: well..good luck with that, it is nearly impossible.
    - Light or heavy attack weaving is nearly impossible due to lag.
    - and the list continues...

    And as a disclaimer:
    - No, this is not an 'I quit threat'.
    - No, it is not my internet connection (Speedtest: 19 PR, 51.44 Mbps download, 20.64 Mbps upload, and no packet loss).
    - No, it is not because I am gaming via WiFi (I play al sorts of MMO games and they are all fine).
    - No, it is not my FPS (which is >30 all of the time, which is reasonable).
    - No, I do not own a potato (I can run Crisis on this, and I admit, old machine)
    - Yes, I tried disabling addons.
    - Yes, I tried repairing my game.
    - Yes, I tried reinstalling my game.
    - Yes, I tried clearing my computer's cache.
    - Yes, I tried restarting my computer.

I just wanted to say thank you...being someone who also has been supporting this game since it first came out, I literally just unsubbed yesterday due to counting a total of 16 presses before the skill actually took effect in PvP. I will gladly pay again once it is fixed but I just can't pay for a commonly known problem to be so blatantly ignored.

Another month or so has passed and none of the lag issues has been fixed.
I added the following lag-related issues to the list:
    - Health desyncs
    - Resource desyncs
    - Random loading screens in PVE environments in random locations

there is so much here i dont even know where to begin.

i guess first i want to say this is a very good post to reference when trying to address all the issues with performance. i feel like there is a lot here that people over look or just ignore and think "oh server over load, that is normal for my abilities, dodge or so and such to not work" but for those who have been here long enough truly know the pain and the actual difference between server lag and population lag.

If you dont mind, with your permission, can i reference your post in my own future posts when addressing server performance. just so i dont have to list all this myself. i know it seems cheap and lazy but you really did a good job here and i dont want to make a post this long about one topic. I know that seems like im taking advantage of your work and i guess in a way i am, but it would just be easier in general you know?

Another month has passed. The server stability is still bad. Even with a ping rate of 60-90ms, there is clearly noticeable lag on the server-side (or caused by bad coding). It is really annoying to see complete health and resource desyncs.
I highly doubt the next update will change anything because in BGs most people don't use AOE effects, where this lag is also very noticeable.

That moment when everyone FINALLY realizes they are just being strung along with false hopes. ESO just doesn't seem to scale well with a growing player base. The more players, the worse it gets. People quit, it gets better...and wash, rinse, repeat. Issues are no doubt with the core of this game (server software and client graphics engine specifically) and until that is made proper to support the demand nothing will change. They also should really rethink their transport protocols and use UDP instead of TCP 100% of the time. It's very inadequate for large groups and busy areas where server load is high. Sound familiar? ESO requires a LOT more precision all around and at it's core, right now, that isn't going to happen properly.

Seems the devs need to rethink this whole thing instead of continually bandaid fixing and playerbase cycling to "improve" the entire game experience. I also think priorities are in other money making areas in this game with performance being a never-ending "work in progress" so to speak.

EDIT: I'll also leave this discussion here from 2016 from a technical standpoint about ESO's transport protocols.

It all must be AOE's fault, let's put a nice cooldown on all of them so that the servers don't take fire.

I swear, Zos is probably thinking that putting cooldowns on everything would still be a better idea than UPDATING the damn servers.

I am bumping this discussion because 1,5 years later, nothing seems to have changed. The same issues still apply in PvP, even after ZOS promised better times.

When is ZOS going to improve server performance? The latest tests and "fixes", fixed nothing in my experience. None of the priorly mentioned issues has been solved. The same issues still exist today. What is the deal here? Is this ever going to be improved or are we waiting for the game to die? What is the plan? Is there even a plan? Because currently, the only 'plan' I see, is pushing more content without any real improvements to the game service.

In the past weeks (correction) months, I rage quit the game several times because I simply don't enjoy playing the game. Nothing works. I intend to play this game to relax, not to get frustrated because skills don't fire, heals and damage doesn't register. Etc. etc. (see list of first post). In the current state (which seems to be the same as 1,5 years ago), the game frustrates more than it provides joy.

last weekend on Saturday I was lagging so badly, I uninstalled the game and canceled my ESO plus. It was hard to justify playing a game during my free time when all it does is frustrate me with how unplayable it is. I was routinely getting stuck in the running motion with using critical rush. Break free wasn't repsonding. Buttons in general werent responding. It was as if my internet was going in and out continuously or something, but it wasn't.

Either ZOS is working with code that's just too broken that they can't fix it....or they really just don't care. Idk why they don't just limit populations to 2 bars max per realm. The game seems more stable then.

But anyways, I'm really hoping New World doesn't have these lag issues. It's gonna have to fill my game hole right now. because I don't think I can play ESO anymore. It's just unhealthy to play a game that's so frustrating.

Nothing works in Cyro after around 6 PM on any day. Not even close to prime time.

I fully agree with everything that has been said by OP and other posters. The performance has never been that bad before, and I play since 2016.

I guess competitive housing is where ZOS' PVP is at.
