I hit lvl 50 4 days ago and I am now CP 54, I didn't get enlightenment I didn't even know it was a thing. A friend I bought the game hit 50 earlier to day and is now CP76 he said he has Enlightenment. Upon further research you get it as soon as you hit 50 on your first char.
So where is my xp boost?
On EU highest char is 17. On NA highest is 50 CP54 which I got to 50 a few days ago.
Mouse over your XP bar on your CP54. Read the text in the box. You should see 4,800,000 Enlightenment. Or if you've done some quests, daily writs, master writs, it will be less than that though not by much. I'm not in game right now, but I can get a screenie in the morning to post so you can see what my CP374 shows when mousing over the XP bar.
IF i understand OP they didnt get that cp boost. When you hit level 50 the cp starts at 0 technincally but the first few levels of cp crank up so fast that you fly right through them. I think you might hit cp 10 or 12 as soon as you hit level 50 because the requirements are so low. That first cp boost should last you to neearly cp 100 or so (from enlightenment) before you notice its gone...
After careful consideration (and oh! so much deliberation) we have concluded that you circumstance sounds too much like a l2p issue for it to be just a mere coincidence.
Yeah I don't have any Enlightenment, my account is 6 years old as I pre-ordered it way back and I never actually played ESO until now. So perhaps it is to do with my account being so old I should be 810 by now.

It only stacks up to about 12 days worth capped if you don't use any of it.
You get 400,000 enlightenment on the time anniversary of your first character hitting level 50, so if they hit 50 at 11am, you will get 400,000 enlightenment at 11 everyday, for ever, but the most you can have at any time is 4.8m enlightenment.
Basically it multiplies your xp gain by 4, so a random normal would give you 400k not 100k xp.
