Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Why do they have to tell us everything that can be found through antiquities?

Wouldn't it be better, if they released the expansion like a true RPG and didn't tell you all the new stuff you will find?

That way people would have to explore, and there would actually be some excitement when you discovered something that you haven't already seen.

Im not sure people are all too interesting in playing Shovel Simulator but you're potentially forced to for powerful rewards.

Will judge when I get to try it.

Even if they didn't tell us, there's a PTS/"beta". Everything will be found/datamined/documented long before release. As with most MMOs these days.

He has a point. There's nothing to experiment with or discover if they spill the beans before I get to play it.
And he can't not look. This is a competitive game, and if there's an edge to get in this new system, he may be left behind.
That said, so far Antiquities sounds like a rehash of wow-Archaeology. Thus I haven't been paying much attention to it.

It all about telling players what they will miss out on if they don't purchase greymoor. They not interested in your needs if u have already bought it.

I'd think that anyone who's that "competitive", doesn't care about discovery & exploration - they've already been reading meta articles & datamines for months/years.

At this moment, with the system in development, it's kind of important to inform us what the system is supposed to do, so that we can report if it's behaving as intended.

With collectibles (like mounts, pets, ect.) That's visible to the player to provide a sense of what can be obtained through the game, and how to find them (with Crown Store items being the only ones that aren't displayed as missing.)

With Mythics, we'll probably always have a heads up on those ahead of time, as ZOS needs to have those things balanced tested by the community before turning them lose on Live.

There's an unfortunate truth that, in order to test things, we need to know what's there. If you're in game, without looking at templates and documentation, the system is obtuse enough that you won't know what you're looking for.

I’d rather know so I can decide if it’s actually worth it or not.
