Where are all the shovels?

For the love of all things tools, can we please get a shovel? There are axes, a scythe, a broom, and a crosscut saw among other tools, but no shovel. Seems to me this should be one of the most common items.

There's a possible line here about the development team using them all to dig themselves deeper into a proverbial... But it would be just too easy..

Yes, I need a shovel in my graveyard because you can't dig graves without one.

they are there, but you just have to dig deep to find them.

I have taken two butcher knives and placed them handle to handle, stuck the tip in the sand, then used a fishing pole or other pole to create the shovel's handle

This is true, as is a pickaxe, an axe, and a broom and bucket, and all those are available as furnishings. So why not the shovel as well then?
