Don't worry, we'll get perfected upgrades

They just said that we won't so they can change their minds and we'll think "they listened"

I don't care anyway. I like that more players will be able to get them so their dps gets a bit better but the perfected versions of vMA weapons are a huge disrespect to the veteran players. Adding a penetration bonus to a backbar PvE weapon is literally an attempt to make it useless intentionally, they wanted no difference between vet and normal rewards. Or they're simply not aware that those weapons are used on backbar? I don't think so. No way I'm farming vet again.

I have to respectfully disagree on your thread topic. They want people to play, period. When I say play I really mean grind. ZOS knows a large player base will all be out there like one large blood thirsty wolf pack farming our "perfected" trial weapons.

For me I don't have any issue going back in (I do here and there anyhow for fun) it's for the ones who struggled their a***s off to get what they needed is who I feel bad for.

Oh, and my historical RNG in any game is always straight BS so I'll be busy for a while to get my arsenal back up to meta like a lot of us I'm guessing...

I suspect they may actually want us to front bar these weapons. They're introducing mythic items with 1-piece bonus. There is no way you can wear them without giving up the 5+5+2 set meta. The problem is that now two-handed weapons are a hindrance again, as you lose 2 "slots" when back-barring or front-barring a 2h weapon. The itemization in ESO is all over the place - on the one hand they appear to be encouraging more mixing and matching; on the other the last bonus on every set is disproportionately powerful, encouraging running full sets.

In any case, that is entirely separate from the question of giving players who've already farmed their vMA weapons the perfected versions.
