What's a good starter Tank monster set?

Well damn I just got bloodspwan and they nerfed the armor by half and reduced the proc chance even further. A 6% chance to get 8 ultimate and 3k armor doesn't really seem that appealing anymore. Would bone pirate be a better suggestion now? I just made this tank and havent had much experience with tanking in this game in general, blooddspawn seemed like the most beginner friendly but I feel like I should run something else now.

If your looking for increased resistances, Mighty Chudan is helpful. If you are looking to add a little dps to help out, Tremorscale is fun. I love that little worm, er, Dune Ripper.

I’m currently using Grave Lord, Lord Warden, Backbar maelsteom S&B, and depending on group composition, Cyrodiils Crest or Plague Doctor. Thankfully tanking in ESO is pretty much brain dead mechanics. Up until about a year ago I used plague doctor, torug’s, and lord warden. Obviously this for vet DLC content. Trial gear is going to be different.

Mighty Chudan is a good set, but it is a tough set to get, plus it is a DLC.

Pirate Skeleton, at least one piece, along with the shoulder for Mighty Chudan, will give you some decent resistances until you are able to get a better set.

Oh well defensive Monstersets are out, all nerfed to the ground. Bloodspawn, Chudan, trollking, Earthgore all degraded to almost uselessnes. Would be the best day of my life, if it hadn't hit Bloodspawn as well, was my all time favorite.

Bloodspawn and warden both lost a few k resistances. But as far as a starter monster set goes for tank i would still go bloodspawn. Your still getting a few k resistance and some ultimate on proc (proc chance wont be an issue) all for doing your job.

Alternatives i still feel, without testing though , would be lord warden or maybe two mag regen monster sets to help you cast support skills.

I think in pvp the loss of a few k resistance ans a lower proc chance would be felt the most. With tanking in pve its easy to build towards those resistances.

But bloodspawn proccing to give u ultimate and some resistances for doing nothing is really helpful.

for over a year its been symphony of blades.
it is all i use on my tanks and healers.
it really helps group sustain, and i like the changes coming to it 👍🏼

I've got impression that a lot of defensive options were nerfed and offensive stuff got buffed overall this patch... Somebody complained too much about unkillable PVP tanks?
