I tried to show the game to my brother

So in the weekend my Brother came over and wanted to See some ESO cause He was considering to also play it so we can play together.

He is intrested in the stamina Nightblade and like me, He wants to PvP. So i hopped on my Nightblade to show him how this class feels and how pvp is. And all i could show him was how laggy this game was.

Nothing worked. Snipe took ages to fire, skill locked for 4+ seconds after dodge roll, guards running around like headless chicken, calling my mount took 6 seconds, sieges fired 5 seconds after pressing the Button.

Ye, ESO is showing itself from the best side again. Even my brother who has no clue about the game said that this doesnt look fun If the game doesnt work when you want to play it.

Its about time to really fix lag. Your Performance plan did excatly NOTHING. Unplayable...

Show him again next year. If it's still shagged it's time to move on.

The performance plan didn't account for a global pandemic that forced everyone to stay home. Kind of ended up overwhelming any performance adjustments they did.

Thank god. One less snipe spamming nightblade to worry about. Fortunately the bad performance has its perks sometimes.

It became disastrously bad as soon as U25 landed, and that was few weeks before people were sent to sit in homes.

Peopole are making jokesabout these topics but ZoS lose potantial money because of sub-oprimal game performance.

The global pandemic excuse is invalid since it was weeks before the pandemic hit Europe and the game was already unplayable. I remember after the patch hit PvP either had no action but was playable or had some action but just became unplayable. Endgame PvE (vSS) in this patch also laggy which makes it unplayable since the slightest mistake prevents you from achieving what you aim for.

So, basically the argument is that a MMO can't handle having players playing the game?

Never understood the "logic" behind this poor excuse. You're literally proving how performance is complete trash by using this argument, not proving it wrong.

A game designed to hold a massive amount of players shouldn't fail at that task, and ESO does...and had since before the Corona excuses.

I came back to the game and brought 2 new people with me from FF14. They both quit. Even with anniversary event buffs they simply didn't want to play in the lag and horrible desyncs and it was sad explaining to them how add ons would help and that the game has always been like that regarding server performance.
