Non-elemental magic staff?

For most of my builds I try to stick to one type of damage. Like, all of my abilities. Be it fire, frost, shock, physical, poison, etc. etc. I love to take advantage or sets that give a boost to these specifically, but also like the aesthetics of all the same color-ish spells.

I'd love to see a "magic" staff for my nightblade/vampire, preferably with a red color glow to light/heavy attacks. Although it'd be nice to have one for templar magic too... Maybe make two magic staffs, call one Daedric and one Holy, but they both do magic damage, just different colors?

    It could be interesting.

Not sure you would need two types, you could just have one which is a more purple/blue colour for magic damage.

I'm pretty sure disease stacks with stamina, like poison and physical.

You're correct. So it wouldn't make much sense in this case.

If we don't have the hope for spellcrafting anymore, they should get around to adding Illusion, Conjuration, Alteration, and Mysticism staffs ASAP. Wouldn't even require new weapon models, just, like, 20 new skills.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

yeah but i think a stamina disease staff could be fun as i think a melee magicka weapon could be fun

Stamina-based Poison and Desease destro staffs would be very welcome. A stam DK with a poison staff, or a stam Necro with either of those staffs would make some interesting builds possible.

Oblivion. Would love to see Oblivion with this suggestion.

I can only imagine the QQ which would follow in PvP.

Earlier last year, we already had unmitigatable bleeds as well as oblivion damage enchants (and even earlier, also Oblivion set procs) intended to combat tanks in PvP.
At the time, it did work quite well for that purpose - but it worked even better against players who weren't tanks.

I do miss sloads set lol. Although, outside of generic "magic" damage (which could be covered with restoration staffs) and oblivion are really the only others for magic skill lines, not including what is already being discussed in the thread lol.

I’d like this, it would synergize well with Warden passives, and maybe make War Maiden a viable set. Seems minimal effort too, since all the motifs for staves already exist, just would need a few visual effects added and unique effects on Destruction active and passive skills for the magic damage type.

    Been there, posted that...

Alternate Staves - we have fire, ice and shock as well as healing, but who here wouldn't want more? Cyan "coldfire" destruction staves (fire effect visuals in cyan, but less damage however done as oblivion type?), purple "warlock" destro staves (pure magic damage, with some "curse" debuffs and/or DoT?), green or brown (nix-hound spit!) acid destro staves (magica-based poison damage with DoT and some armor debuff?); sickly-bile-yellow "disease" restoration staves (do less healing but bonus damage as disease DoT), or red blood magic healing staves (less damage, but with a lifedrain effect)... possibly even give back ice to DPS and add a seperate "Earth" magic staff to cover the tanky effects?
    ;)

    It does.
Could still be done, tho it'd be more specialized... since disease and poison are buffed by the "Stamina support" CP perks. Would be useful for hybrid characters tho... (not like they are really all that viable at the moment, but... still...)

    What now?
Either a -stanima- disease weapon (which would make most sense for a ranged weapon like, say, crossbows that use disease damage instead of posion as the bow), or a -melee magica- weapon, which could come in various incarnations (see posted discussion above for some thoughts on that).
