Forum Notations: I am aware that it could be improved upon, more or less use some fine tuning, but bear in mind this is something that I thought about for a long time, to find a way to improve the champion system in its entirety while solving a small part of the power creep. Most of the goods from intervals 10-50 are focused on defense while intervals 60-90+ start leaning into the offensive. This ensures one can take a hit in their preferred milestone choice while dishing it out in the later ranks, one cannot dps if they are dead.
Long story short, it does create a bit of desparity as higher ranked champions could easily wipe out lower ranked champions based on their skills, equipped gear, etc. it just means that champion based PVP from one perspective should be attempted either with groups, especially if they are higher level champions, if you are an equally leveled champion in comparison, if they are low-level champions compared to the player, etc. but the way I made this milestone system is mostly from a PvE perspective.
I also advise taking the time to read through all this carefully as doing a tl;dr is only gonna cause problems for you as a forum’er.
Notes:
In the case that a similar milestone system is implemented, milestone ranks can be given to existing veteran players with 1 milestone rank for every 100 champion points achieved prior to such a thing.
The Champion Milestone system works like so:
- you may choose one of the three constellations to earn points in.
- Each time you earn 100 points, you gain a milestone rank for that constellation, from here, you have the option to level up one of the two other constellations or continue leveling up your currently chosen constellation by resetting it to 0.
- you will retain any milestone ranks earned for that constellation as well as any perks associated with the milestone rank, but you will have to re-earn the points in that constellation in order to achieve the next milestone rank.
- If you choose to level up a different constellation, your previous constellation progress will remain at 100 but you will not benefit from any of the perks from it unless you have earned the respective milestone rank tied to that perk. (Think of each Milestone rank as a Permanent Unlock.)
- every 10 points gained passively unlocks a talent in the chosen milestone constellation, as you progress through each milestone rank, it becomes progressively harder and harder to attain each milestone rank for that constellation. (Longer levelling.), In addition to the main talents of each interval, there are bonus talents that can only be unlocked by achieving the Milestone Rank in that constellation choice.
- Note that unless you have achieved the milestone rank for that particular talent, you will only be able to access the talents unlocked with the champion points reached in your current constellation, namely, this means you will have the talents in your currently chosen constellation and the talents unlocked by achieving the milestone rank for it.
- Example: The Mage Constellation is currently chosen, I have the talent for the first interval (10 points) but I also have the 10 point interval talent from the Warrior Constellation by achieving milestone rank 1 in the Warrior Constellation.
- Some particular constellation perks may have extra bonuses which, once that milestone rank is achieved, will be active upon receiving the blessing of the named Mundus stone mentioned in its description, such as removing all mount stamina costs outside of combat if your current Mundus is the Steed.
- The perks granted upon reaching milestone rank 10 should be known particularly as “end-game” milestone perks as they are extraordinarily powerful in comparison to the previous 9, a goal which designates a player as a true champion of that complete constellation, accomplishing all three at maximum will grant something that is yet to be Determined.
Champion Constellation
The Warrior: Each Milestone rank reached in this constellation increases your base Maximum Health, Health Recovery and all health based set bonuses by 2.5%. If under the influence of a Warrior, Lady, Steed or Lord Mundus Stones, the bonus is increased to 5%.
10 point interval
Gain 528 Armor while wearing 5 or more pieces of heavy Armor, each warrior milestone rank increases the value by another 528, up to 5280 at Milestone Rank 10. Warrior Milestone Rank 1: Gain 1650 Critical Resistance, While wearing 5 Pieces of Heavy Armor & Blocking, gain a Damage Shield every 1 second that absorbs damage equivalent to 2% of your current Maximum Health. The bonus doubles to 4% if wielding one-hand and shield.
20 point interval
Increase Health Recovery and Healing Received by 15% Warrior Milestone Rank 2: Gain 1500 Armor when Wielding one-hand and shield or Frost Destruction Staff. Increases inspiration gains by 20%.
30 point interval
Gain 35% Damage Mitigation while blocking. Warrior Milestone Rank 3: When blocking a melee attack, you have a 20% chance to deal [x] physical damage and heal for 100% of the damage done. this can occur every 5 seconds. If under the influence of the Lord Mundus Stone, the Amount of health restored by the riposte is doubled to 200% while wielding an Ice Staff or One-hand & Shield.
40 point interval
Reduces the cost of blocking by 25%. Warrior Milestone Rank 4: Reduce your Damage taken from Direct Damage attacks by 20%. If under the influence of the Lady Mundus Stone, Taking damage equal to 20% of your maximum health or greater restores [x] Magicka, this can occur once every 5 seconds.
50 point interval
Increases the Effectiveness of Damage Shields by 25%. Warrior Milestone Rank 5: when you activate break free or resurrecting an ally, gain 15% damage reduction for the duration.
60 point interval
Reduces Health resource restore effects of enemies you hit with Light and Heavy attacks by 15% for 3 seconds including potions, armor sets and ability passives. Warrior Milestone Rank 6: While wearing at least 5 pieces of heavy armor, Drinking a potion shares the beneficial effects to 11 other nearby allies in your group for 60% of the duration. This does not apply in duels.
70 point interval
Increases Direct Damage Done by 20% Warrior Milestone Rank 7: Damaging an enemy with a bash attack reduces their movement speed by 20% for 3 seconds.
80 point interval
Increase Damage done to targets with a damage shield by 25%. Warrior Milestone rank 8: While in combat, Gain 2 ultimate anytime you activate a synergy or whenever an ally activates your synergy. This can occur once every 3 seconds.
90 point interval
Adds 100 oblivion damage to your Light and Heavy Attacks with One-hand & Shield and Frost Destruction Staves while wearing at least one piece of heavy armor, gain 50 oblivion damage for each additional piece of Heavy Armor Worn, up to 450 Oblivion Damage. Warrior Milestone Rank 9: Blocking a Heavy attack grants 30% damage done to your next light attack for 5 seconds.
100 point milestone.
Adds 5280 Armor Penetration. Warrior Milestone Rank 10: While in combat, gain a persistent stack of Undying Rage every 10 seconds, each stack increases your damage done to non-PVP combatants by 1.25%, 10 stacks max for a total of 12.5% bonus damage. while at 10 stacks, when your health falls below 20%, those stacks are consumed and you gain major berserk for 10 seconds, increasing your damage done by 25%. During this period, your maximum health is prevented from falling below 1%. Oblivion damage and certain boss mechanics can ignore this. This effect can occur once every 2 minutes*.
(*stacks can still be earned while on cooldown, but the major berserk and death prevention mechanics will not proc below 20% of max health until 2 minutes have transpired upon its expiration. Meaning the cooldown will trigger upon expiry.)
Champion Constellation
The Thief: Each Milestone rank reached in this constellation increases your base Maximum Stamina, Stamina Recovery and all stamina based set bonuses* by 2%. If under the influence of the Thief, Tower, Lover or Shadow Mundus Stones, the bonus increases to 4%.
10 point interval
Gain 528 Armor while wearing 5 or more pieces of Medium Armor, each thief milestone rank increases the value by another 528, up to 5280 at Milestone Rank 10. Thief Milestone Rank 1: While wearing 5 Pieces of Medium Armor, Roll dodge bonus increased by an additional 0.7 seconds, After Roll Dodging, gain minor evasion for 5 seconds, reducing your damage taken from area of effect attacks by 10%.
20 point interval
Increase Stamina Recovery and Stamina Resource Restore from fully charged heavy attacks by 20% Thief Milestone Rank 2: Restore [x] Health anytime you deal direct Critical Damage. This can only occur once every 1 second.
30 point interval
Reduce the cost of roll dodging by 25%. Thief Milestone Rank 3: Reduce Bashing cost by 35%, anytime an enemy is interrupted from Bashing, restore [x] health, this can occur once every 3 seconds.
40 point interval
Reduce incoming Physical, Poison, Disease and Bleed damage by 20%. Thief Milestone Rank 4: Reduces the cost of sneaking by 35%. If under the influence of the Tower Mundus Stone, interacting with a lock grants a chance to trivialise the force lock, allowing you to bypass the lock without affecting the initial spoils within. This can occur once every 30 minutes and cooldown cannot be reduced or removed through changing Mundus stones.
50 point interval
Reduce the Cost of Break-Free by 25%. Thief Milestone Rank 5: Reduces the cost of Armor repairs by 15%, grants a 10% Chance to double the yield from normal resource nodes and reduces gathering times by 50%.
60 point interval
Reduces Stamina Resource restore Effects of enemies you hit with light and heavy attacks by 20% for 3 seconds including potions, armor sets and ability passives. Thief Milestone Rank 6: while wearing 5 pieces of medium Armor, when you use break free, the cost of your stamina based abilities is reduced by 50% for 4 seconds.
70 point interval
5% Increased damage done to diseased enemies with minor defile, this value doubles to 10% if they have major defile. 20% increased effectiveness of healing reduction abilities against enemies. Thief Milestone Rank 7: when you roll dodge to dodge an enemy’s attack, you set them off-balance, if an enemy cannot be set off-balance this way, you are refunded 4% of roll dodge cost as stamina over 5 seconds.
80 point interval
Increase your Physical, Bleed, Poison and Disease Damage done by 20%. Thief Milestone Rank 8: Increases weapon and spell critical rates by 9%.
90 point interval
Increase your damage and healing done with Weapon Criticals by 25%.Thief Milestone Rank 9: increases your damage done to off-balance enemies by 10%, when you interrupt an enemy, your next direct damage attack used within 7 seconds is increased by 15%.
100 point milestone.
Increase damage done by Light and Heavy attacks with all One-Hand & Shield, Two-Handed, Dual-Wield, Bow and Lycanthropic Claws by 35%. Thief Milestone Rank 10: enter stealth for 3 seconds upon entering sneak or activating Evasion. This requires 5 medium armor pieces and each medium piece above 5 increases the invisibility duration by 0.5 seconds to a max of 4 seconds total. Additionally, Increases the quality of items found in treasure chests and increases the amount of gold found on defeated enemies, in safe boxes and treasure chests by 50%.
Champion Constellation
The Mage: Each Milestone rank reached in this constellation increases your base Maximum Magicka, Magicka Recovery and all Magicka based set bonuses* by 2%. If under the influence of the Mage, Apprentice, Atronach or Ritual Mundus Stones, the bonus increases to 4%.

Gain 528 Armor while wearing 5 or more pieces of Light Armor, each Mage milestone rank increases the value by another 528, up to 5280 at Milestone Rank 10. Mage Milestone Rank 1: Gain Minor Ward at all times while wearing at least 1 piece of light armor, restoring 330 Magicka while wielding one-handed, two-handed, one-hand & shield or bow weapons, or 330 Stamina while wielding restoration or Destruction Staves once every 2 seconds When Taking Damage.
20 point interval
Increase Magicka Recovery and Magicka Resource Restore from fully charged heavy attacks by 20% Mage Milestone Rank 2: Increase healing done by 15%, anytime you heal yourself or an ally while wielding a restoration staff, increase their Magicka or Stamina Recovery by [x] for 8 seconds whichever maximum resource is lowest. This can only occur once every 15 seconds per ally.
30 point interval
Reduce the cost of Sprinting by 35%. Mage Milestone Rank 3: Increases your Movement Speed and Mounted Speed by 2%. Also increases Health and Magicka Recovery by 10% while sprinting. if under the influence of the Steed Mundus Stone, Removes all Mount Stamina costs outside of combat.
40 point interval
Reduce Incoming Magic, Flame, Frost and Shock Damage by 20% Mage milestone Rank 4: Blocking 3 spells within 10 seconds of each other guarantees your next Magicka ability used within 5 seconds to be a critical strike.
50 point interval
Reduce your damage taken from Damage over time effects by 20% Mage Milestone Rank 5: taking damage from any source restores [x] health, this value doubles if it was a critical hit. This can occur once every 2 seconds.
60 point interval
Reduces Magicka resource restore effects of enemies you hit with Light and Heavy attacks by 20% for 3 seconds including potions, armor sets and ability passives. Mage Milestone Rank 6: while wearing at least 5 pieces of light Armor, when you use break free, the cost of your Magicka based abilities is reduced by 40% for 4 seconds.
70 point interval
Increases Damage over Time done by 20%. Mage Milestone Rank 7: Gain 1% Damage done To enemies for every 15% of their health missing, up to 5% maximum to enemies below 25%.
80 point interval
Increase your Magic, Flame, Frost and Shock damage done by 20%. Mage Milestone Rank 8: after successfully resurrecting another player, gain a damage shield for 8 seconds that absorbs [x] Damage. This can occur once every 40 seconds.
90 point interval
Increase your damage and healing done with Spell Criticals by 25%. Mage Milestone Rank 9: Restore [x] Health to allies in an 8 meter radius whenever you take damage equal to 30% of your health while wielding a restoration staff.
100 point milestone.
Increase damage done by Light and Heavy attacks with all Destruction Staves, Restoration Staves and Overload by 35%. Mage Milestone Rank 10: While wearing 5 light armor pieces in Combat, adds a persistent stack of Magicka resonance every 12 seconds, increasing the casters Magicka recovery by 10. at 5 stacks or greater, Enemies killed within 2 seconds of being damaged by your light or heavy attacks causes the Magicka to Resonate outward, increasing nearby allies Magicka Recovery or Stamina Recovery within 8 meters by 10 for each current stack, whichever Recovery is lowest. 20 Stacks maximum. Every 5 stacks above 10 adds an additional 10 meters to the Resonating Magicka, to a maximum of 28 meters.
