Hello,

We are starting the process to build a crafting house for our guild. As such, we would like to be able to mark areas with letters, either on the ground, or preferably on a street sign.

Are there such items in the game, and if so, what are the recipes called? If not, what solutions have you used to solve the need for lettering? Pictures and links are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Gandamir

Yeah, you could use little pieces like ivory chunks, gears, etc., though that takes a lot of time and furniture slots..
EHT works if everyone has it installed, but unless it's a part of/requirement for joining the guild, you can't guarantee.. They might get a little bit lost, lol!
if I could make another character, their name would be Cries-For-Character-Slots. AKA, I need more.

Customisable signs would be a great addition.

Also, customisable booklets, so you could make little stories about your home and things like menus for restaurants, or programmes for theatres.

While I would love to have placeable numbers and letters for my homes, I think ZOS leaves it purposefully difficult for the simple reason that the lazy trolling sector would find it much too easy to prank/grief others with minimal effort. Only a dedicated troll would spend hours trying to make a sign for a simple reaction they may or may not get.

Letters and notes that you could use for messages would be a great addition for RP as well!

And how do you troll others if only the home owner can place items or decorate? I think in this case it would be more positive than negative.

Edit: It would be great if people with decorating rights could edit letters as well though. If you use your house for RP with a group of people this would add so many possibilities.

I could write very bad things about Sengra quickly and easily and put them up for everyone to see in my house. What could you do about it? Anonymous screenshots are a thing, too.

Consider why cans of spray paint are usually locked up in the store while cans of regular paint are not.

While I'd like to be naive and think that everyone is kind and honorable, just a few minutes in many zone chats would prove otherwise.

You only put one Enchanting, Alchemy and Transmute Station in the Guild Hall.

All the Set Stations should be Alphabetized. If you pick the right home, it is easy to put everything in a logical order in one area. My guild has the Arena. There are other homes to use.

The game does have Banners for each Profession, but I don't think they are really needed.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

That is the plan, but if I am in the A's, and need to get to F, how far do I have to run? Right now I have to side pedal while looking at tool-tips popping up for 2/10s of a second or so to figure out if I went to far.

Having a Sign/Letter every so often when we switch to a new station would simplify this. Not for every letter change, but for a few of them.

oh, i would love writable labels so much.

What i did so far, i ordered them alphabetical in my main language, and labeled them in english with the addon EHT.
The downside of this is, you have to have also that addon to see them. Otherwise they are just not there.

So crazy that we even have to do this. Why not just four stations with a drop down menu?

C'mon, ZOS.... help us out here!

There really isn't anything, currently, unless you use a lot of slots, or EHT.

I would like to be able to write my own signs, with a variety of fonts and a selection of little pictures you could choose from.

Also, booklets, which you could use for things like guest books, a short story/explanation about your house, booklets for museums, tourist information about the area, programmes for plays, menus and wine lists for restaurants and so on.

The inside could work like the books we have already, where you click on the book and it opens to reveal the inside text in a window.

You could edit the outside to put the name of your restaurant, in the case of the menu idea, then write the dishes available inside.

Could have the usual options, like underline and bold and so on, for titles.

They could have up to three pages, or whatever is the current maximum for books.

    I live in hope.
