There is a home there. Hew's Bane has Princely Dawnlight Palace and Gold Coast has Linchal Grand Manor and The Erstwhile Sanctuary.

All three are crown store exclusive for limited times.

Decent normal size house instead of mansions would be good in these zones, and Wrothgar. I guess they don’t make money off them as much as the large ones though.

There's one right now for Thieves Oasis, which is a new one in Bangkorai, but it ends tomorrow. After that, there's a good chance there will be one next month, but can't really say for sure, and we can only guess at what house it will be, new or old.

That doesn't mean you can put a misleading title on the thread ... ?

Because there is housing in those zones.

Maybe be more specific in your title such as "The devs need to drop everything and make new housing for me. Especially now ... when everyone is working from home and Greymoor is already delayed by a week."

I dont think this is true. If the black icon for the home is on your map after having walked near its entrance, you can port to it via the world map, or walk right through the door by going there manually

Get the Ertswhile Sanctuary when it becomes available. It's like having your own Bat Cave and is pretty awesome.

Sometimes they have good deals on it too. I think I picked mine up during the Black Friday sale.

An apartment in Abah's Landing and also, one in each of the Gold Coast cities would be nice.

As would fairly large (but not huge!) houses, with 700 slot limits, in the South of Hew's Bane and the Gold Coast, repectively (both overlooking the sea).

Avoid the Palace - nice location, but it is a total nightmare to light and furnish adequately on 700 slots.

Sure. I think that all of the zones should have a "city house" in the main zone city. They can range from rooms at the inn to apartments to stand-alone buildings to walled compounds.

Let's face it, for those who are not interior design inclined, the only point of housing is free travel. So having no affordable/available house in a zone is crippling. Inn rooms would be the most available for all players, but honestly, if there were any types of houses available for gold, it'd be great. Insanely expensive crown houses that you can only buy once every couple of years are not a realistic housing option.

I'm not sure about that. I haven't tried lately with those particular houses, but I know for a fact that the Vvardenfell house over on the east coast can't be entered or viewed-- at least, it couldn't the last time I tried, which admittedly has been a while. Not on the map, but if you get close enough then the icon shows up, but you can't look inside because it's unavailable.

There's always one. Do you really have to be pedantic like that? OP wasn't obnoxious in their plea and did add "please" at the end of the title, and then in subsequent posts explained what they mean. It's a forum, we can talk about multiple things, and also it's obvious they won't add the houses tomorrow but a suggestion is always nice, so the devs can add this to their roadmap if enough people are interested and the exec planets align. There's no need to be dismissive. Every time is good for the suggestion if it's worded nicely and what are those forums for if not that? I far more prefer threads like this, as opposed to constant flood of "this game is dead/broken/unpleable!!!111!" and "nerf/don't nerf X!".

“Zos, can you put a free inn room in these locations because I just want to port there without paying gold.” Is not a compelling argument for affordable housing in these locations. In fact you may have just highlighted the reason we are not seeing cheaper homes.

You can. Even new homes that have not hit the market yet can be previewed by just walking in the front door yourself.

Wraithhome is right next to a wayshrine. If you don’t own it go in and look around. The only thing you cannot do is preview it with the additional furnishings option.

This is likely the case, along with just the cost of developing such things and how much they will get back from it.

My main problem with housing is that most locations suck. Those that do not suck for location are closets. Even if there was an ideal property, ZOS has decided to severely limit what we can put in them, and how many people can use them.

Housing is a side effect, and it is clear that it is not, and never will be, a main focus of the game. They are interested in selling you things to put in them. People are interested in buying that stuff. That is really where it ends.

If you can live within the restrictions, I am sure it is quite enjoyable.

This both is and isn't true, depending on how you look at it.

Yes, it is true that if the only reason to add something to a game is to try to make people, directly, buy that item, there would be no point in adding anything you could easily buy with (a little) gold.

On the other hand, if you look at the game as a product in itself, that you are trying to get people to invest in, adding features to that product that make people more inclined to buy it and to then (hopefully) also sub to it would seem like a very good idea.

You can only make a game so hollow, without item purchases, before people will realise they are paying for little more than an empty vessel to put their future purchases in.

At that point, many people will lose interest.

Yes. This was a sad cost cutting measure by ZOS to not have a place in Lilmoth. What they do have is one of those "grab the Crowns while they are still warm" mansions. I am sure that a lot of people like them.

I disagree, I think it's a perfectly valid argument, because I need to buy the house for gold first before I can use it, and that's likely a whole lot more gold than even multiple teleports to a wayshrine. If they don't add some more houses for gold soon, the gold-sink effect of housing will stop working on long-term players who already had the chance to purchase all the houses that were released so far.
