Something should be added to Treasures

Treasure, those things you steal from containers and either fence or launder, should have some things added to them to add more depth. (Yeah, I know, as if any elder scrolls game lacks depth...)

Like, the counterfeit passports. They should have some sort of usage beyond sitting in inventory. I’ve got a dwemer puzzle cube that is just begging to be used to summon a daedra. The directions to clockwork city should actually be able to activate a path to that cave. The dwemer tonal diagram could be used somewhere in some dwemer facility to play some sort of pipe organ - can you imagine your character sitting down and using stolen item to play toccata and fugue (Dracula organ theme) on a dwemer organ? I wish there was a use for a pristine dragon heartscale other than tossing it to a merchant.

I get where you're coming from since I had similar thoughts about some of the treasure items, but if ZOS actually were to do what you suggest, they would end up completely changing the purpose of these items into something new. Something that might be a cool little touch in most cases, but nothing more - nothing I can see them putting time and resources into. The treasures are supposed to be sellables to level up your legerdemain skill line and make some money along the way and that's pretty much it.
And I can totally see that if they all had completely boring names like "old vase" or "valuable looking gem" or something, some people might not like that either and complain about it. Something along the lines of: "Well, they could have really been a bit more creative with those names, couldn't they?"

So, yeah, I actually think the treasures are fine the way they are and there's no real need to change them. Even though I do understand what you mean and how, under maybe a bit of a different kind of circumstances, this could indeed be a good idea.
This poor little Bosmer stealth passive had passionate friends and a big loving family!

I imagine the Antiquities system will replace treasure for players with Greymoor
