Vampire Lord - Not possible

I'm seeing a lot of people make the argument regarding playable Vamp Lords that its just not possible because thats a Harkon/Volkihar thing
If thats the case, why are these vampires in Eso Greymoor allowed to turn into Vamp Lords and yet they aren't of the Volkihar bloodline.
Just saying, playable Vampire Lords totally possible lore wise in Eso.
Thoughts?

Well it was thought of as Exclusive but that was until Eso Greymoor shows they are not.
I think we are going to see it mainly with the Grayhost Vampires.
Blood Scion would just be an imitation of the Vampire Lord but not the actual Vampire Lord form.
Since the Gray Host will be the main threat of this chapter, I'm sure we are going to see several forms of different variations of vampiric transformations. The Vampire Lord only being just one of those.

I think this might be unique to the Gray Host Bloodline. Some of these transformations seem to be lacking wings so it should be interesting. My guess is their focus might be more into actual monstrous shape shifting. It makes since because they are allied with Werewolves and Werebats.
I wonder if they are taking some inspiration from the Gangrel vampire bloodline from Vampire the Masquerade when it comes to the Grayhost. If so that would really be neat.

Who says they are not Volkihar?

Think of the exact location in which this expansion takes place, out of all the places it could be in Tamriel it just so happens that the Vampire lords can be found in the exact same hold that Castle Volkihar is located in, it is pretty obvious that they are.

They even wear the same outfit that Harkon does minus the cape, then you have that whole Ice-Reach Coven thing, the name cannot be a coincidence given it is stated within Immortal that the Volkihar could reach through the Ice.

In elder scrolls universe nothing is written in stone, everything u read about the lore is written by the residents of tamriel. It could be true, a lie, something in the middle, speculation or simply unknown.
That's what I like about TES lore so much.

But personally I dont like it that their will be thousands of vampire lords running all around the world and dying to mudcrabs ;D

Common misconception, It's never stated that vampire lord is exclusive to volikhar bloodline. It is implied to be more of a purity thing, and lamae bal is the first vampire and a daughter of coldharbour so she Is the purist source for vampirism.

And yet our transformation as being members of her bloodline looks completely different to a Vampire Lord.

This is right, the Volkihar clan is just one of the few pure blooded vampires in Tamriel. They are not the only pure bloods. Pure bloods are just more rare bc they are given from Molag Bal himself I’m sure there are definitely a couple more if not plenty of more families who also got gifted with purity that may be in hiding.

Just like this quote, just because we only know of two pure bloods Volkihar and lemae doesn’t mean there aren’t more in hiding that we have not met yet. And also we as players are not vampire lords we are blood scions which have differences
