Character position wrong on map and miniMap

Lately I am finding the position of my character as marked on by the Map and the Radar/MiniMap to be wrong.
I.E. If I am at a crossroads , on the map/miniMap my position is marked significantly north of the crossroads and a bit to the west as well.
Is there a way to fix this so the position I am standing in the world is accurately marked on the map and (AUI) Mini map. I've looked for a position offset, but do not see an adjustment like that.
