question about writ rewards

As we all know, you usually get inticrate items as reward from crafting writs. All of which have the style of one of the playable races. However, I am also getting items in the ashlander style, the only one not from a playable race, and I feel like I'm getting way more Dark elf style items than from every other race. I do all of my writs in Vivec.
My question is, does the location determine in what style the item is? (Since in this case, ashlander style comes from Morrowind and I do the writs in vivec)

Try going to Alinor in Morrowind and do your writs there and see what your get in return for writ rewards.

Erm Alinor is in Summerset

Also I don't think rewards styles are zone based I do my dailies in Riften and get a mix of every style

Yeah I regularly switch places when I get sick of the background noises in one particular place (that cheering Argonian in Alinor, the gossiping khajiit in Rimmen who say the same line over and over again, and the constant death gurgles of NPCs being murdered in Vivec City). No changes in rewards from one city to the next.
