Since the lockdown I've been doing PvP almost non stop. I have my moments where I just roll everyone, but what plays on my nerves is when I cannot really see what killed me. Like one time I was hitting player and this nightblade came out of nowhere, did one whirl and I was dead. AND IT'S OK! Sometimes you get rolled, BUT, the damage recount showed he hit me not once, but with couple abilities, I assume he spammed something during that whirl and it came through animation. I don't mind getting killed, but when I get killed by something stupid as this, I lose my sh**. This happens mostly with melee, there are rare occurrences where same thing happens with ranged classes. The solution is simple really, while animation is active, nothing else allowed, and that's it, there is a case with animation canceling, which I find stupid also, but whatever.
Second thing, is tanks. There was a match where whole group was made of them, battle as you imagine was only on their territory. And okay, I get that also, but when this tank also does high damage, that is bullsh**. It was a deathmatch and to my surprise their team won, few of them were quite manageable, others were taking damage like they were hit with a noodle.
Those are my two complains, burn me at the stake if you like. Long ago there was Scalebreaker update which pissed off some players, but it added some sanity to the game in my opinion, and they shouldn't stop there.... Thank you for reading my vent:)
As for people mentioning lag, my latency is ok in BGs. And it is always the same people that doing it, so I'm guessing it's something that was intended or someone is exploiting something.

There are people that do utilize lag to their advantage. But most times it is lag even if it seems everything's running smoothly. I was in a fight the other day, everything looked great, but my skills were doing nothing to this person. 4 seconds later all their health disappeared like everything caught up to their client at once. It's just the state of the game at the moment.

That's just it, it never happens to me, all I get is a kick sometimes, but other then that, I never notice any lag. It's always one or two people that doing it. It is a very rare occurrence also. I was playing whole night in BGs and I met like three people that were doing that. As I mentioned before I don't mind getting killed, but this is not something that I am used to seeing in MMO.
Removing animation canceling would just worsen combat and people would die more often because they wouldn’t be able to block, heal, roll dodge, or swap bars. Even with ac you can still see part of the animation and being familiar with all the classes and their combos you can usually predict it before it even happens. You also have to consider server performance is at an all time low so there are a lot of health desyncs happening which unfortunately you can’t do anything about.
As far as tanks that do high damage they do not exist. You were probably just fighting skilled players in medium armor that have learned to keep their buffs and heals up and use block, los, and roll dodge to mitigate damage.

A prime example of ignorance in the first sentance.
What does ani cancel have to do with a games action combat? Have you played no other game with block and dodge?

Then argue your point instead of insults, just making yourself look foolish, did you even read the op?

Haha, double quote. I guess your first response wasnt as polished but you came back more "civilized".
Blocking and dodge in other games cancel the previous ability completely. If you were in the process of striking but you saw a big hit coming your way, you'd give up on striking to dodge.

I don't complain about dying, I complain about mechanics....

It does seem like you are complaining about dying. At the very least you are complaining because you did not notice all the attacks from that NB. Survival in PvP requires being alert and reacting quickly. When up against a skilled player that will often make the difference between who is still standing and who is looking at the world from the flat of their backs.

I was trying to describe the problem, I'm not really good with words, people often get me wrong:) It wasn't attention issue, I keep eyes on my character, it literally was one animation that got me down.
