PVP Gear Help - Magcro

I'm trying to build a decent Magcro for CP Cyro and BGs. Currently, I am struggling with sets. So far, I am running 5 Necro and 5 Spinner with Bloodspawn. Pretty standard set, but I still feel like I'm not hitting very hard.

I am not sure what stat I should be focusing on as Magcro, Max Magicka or Spell Damage. Also, should I run 5 heavy or 5 light?

My build will be focused around solo play primarily. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Been using necro/bright for a while now, monster set depends; slimecraw seems to be my go to, balorg for group play, shadowren for duels. Stay in 5 light, heavy will not give you damage. My front bar is skel mage (procs concussion) mobile totem (minor protect and CC) mage light (crit and increased mag means you hit harder) OR ele drain (more single target; more pen means abilities hit closer to their tool tips and you get mag regen every sec) blastbones (lighting staff) skull (hits harder than other spammables available, adds more crit chance from passives) colossus (it only needs to hit once and the targets take 30% more damage, time it with totem and blastbones)

Small notes: im a high elf, 1 spell dmg on jewelry, 1 bloodthirsty, mag regen mundas.

Uhm i main magcro since quite a while now...
In general if you wanna be somewhat competitive as a magcro you will need to run harmony or you will get outperformed even by magblade

Spelldmg > magicka
The exact ratio and Statvalue you can find from theorycrafters like asiangod

BiS set for magcro is clearly elemental succession.
Combine it with something like nma and you are ready to punch out some juicy 20k crits in no cp
If you do that you should go with a Defence Monster set

Skills etc I won’t go over here but I hope it gave you a little help on what to aim for... in general magcro can be strong and work well but it will take you some time for Finetuning etc

And no don’t use skulls, they are garbage... the dmg is somewhat okay but force pulse does more dmg and is Basicly instant dmg

Bar setup etc you need to find a way that works best for you, but boneyard is mandatory

I stack mag for CP and spell damage for BG. No CP bonus to magicka in BG, but you can still buff spell damage with major sorcery (which of course necro doesn't have natively). In openworld I run either harmony build or heal/support build. To be honest, I think healing/support builds are the most OP thing the in the game, but they don't get the attention or respect damage builds get.

I use necro on body with bloodspawn as monster. Then I use master lightning staff frontbar and maelstrom resto backbar (potentate resto also works well) and ancient grace on jewelry. It works really well for me.

For example I regularly hit 13-15k shock clench.

Ain't dat da truth. I worry about magcro getting the magden treatment...unduly nerfed because of the strength of the stamina counterpart. It will be interesting to see what the new vamparism brings to magcro.
