God of Schemes: Vanquish Molag Bal - BUGGED

This game never ceases to amaze me truly. I've don't this quest on probably 3 toons or so, decided to finish it up on another alt. I've never had this happen before but when Molag Bal lifts you into the air and after you beam him to death, instead of slowly falling to the ground, you get stuck midair. If you wait long enough, you're standing on invisible ground. You have no choice but to fall to your death. I think if you have around 21k health, you might be able to survive the fall damage. That's not the point really. After doing a little searching this quest has been exceptionally buggy for at least 4 years from the posts I found. Not even sure why I'm posting this as ZOS doesn't acknowledge anything. They might want to fix this with Greymoor around the corner and the influx of new players.

I think the most recent I've found was from May 2019 which was in response to the original thread from 2016 but they of course closed it because they said it was old and to post a new one and here we are. Still.

Still broken, lets see how many automated responses I get from support, 2 so far.

this just happened to me. After a few failed tries, i tried to jump just when he drops me, and it worked. Was able to continue with the quest then.

I tried multiple times, didn't work for me. This is ridiculous.

Broken for me too. If anyone has found a work-around, I'd be appreciative. I might try restarting the quest.

I followed Huphia's advice, and it worked! I tapped the spacebar key in quick succession after blasting Molag Bal in the face and was lowered down to the ground as normal as a result. The fight then progressed as it should.

I don't even think there is an option to abandon the quest. I'll check again soon. It's day 4 with no response on my ticket.

I have the issue of he never dropped me. I just was in mid air and he would never reappear.

Still bugged for me too. They could fix it by changing the battle ground to give you a pond or a tree to aim for so you don't take fall damage, they could make that part of the skill of the game, and the fact that you have to fall from an invisible platform can be one of those "feature" bugs that we all know and love.

Edit: on a different thread they said that hitting spacebar works. I tried it, and it works ( I hit spacebar intermittently before and after the attack that makes Molag Bal disintegrate, and I flew back and landed on the battle ground like intended).
