Open a new alliance locked server for PC NA during crisis

People clearly prefer the alliance locked server, but since a lot more people are playing during this crisis it’s far too overcrowded and the lag is more ridiculous than usual. How about opening a new server like is done during the midyear mayhem events to spread the lag(playerbase) out a bit?

    Good idea. Why not ?

    Though it won't be relevant to me since I'm still leveling my new character on PC NA.

    Real question: How would it work? Lock all servers to the same alliance, or lock each server separately?

    If, for example, they had three alliance-locking servers, and everyone chose one alliance to lock per server, would that just make things into basically unlocked servers?

    Or since you can't have multiple alliances Homing their campaign in the same server, it wouldn't matter as long as the server locks?

    A little history of the game. The one aspect of the game that has been constant since the day it launched. Most players tend to flock to one campaign because they want PvP vs a horse riding simulator with occasional PvP. Alliance lock, CP/no-CP are pretty irrelevant and opening another campaign would mean another mostly empty campaign.

    I imagine OP means the latter, 3 separate locked campaigns, where players commit to an Alliance on each campaign (so you could be all DC, or a mix of Alliances over the campaigns).

    It would not affect the positive elements of locking, because players are still committing to an Alliance on each individual campaign.

    The lock is to prevent players switching sides within a campaign.

    It would allow players who have characters from multiple Alliances the opportunity to play all their characters each month. However, there is barely the population to accommodate 3 vet campaigns in total (locked, CP and no CP) at the moment, so adding another 2 would not be practical as 1, 2 or all of them would become depopulated ghost campaigns.
