Sixth Anniversary Event - SO much better

I had a bit of a gripe about the Murkmire event, and just wanted to say how much more I'm enjoying this one. I know there isn't more to do exactly but the rewards from the Anniversary Boxes are SO MUCH better. Much more fun, much more exciting, much more reason to join in on a daily basis.

Thank you! ^^

P.S. Hope you're all ok, out there in Isolation Lockdown Land *waves*

I love this event. I craft on 14 characters and will end up with 1300 boxes by the end. It’s transmute stone and motif time!

I feel like a fool, who planned and created 18 crafters for this event and then missed 210 golden boxes because I was busy and sony didn't chose to inform me about my favorite event.

I usually search for next event once an event is over. I couldn't have thought of back to back events.

I do crafting dailies without fail and I of all the people lost 210 golden boxes ? Took entire fun out of event for me.

Feels good to be able to help newer players grab all their collectibles for both this event and Jesters.
It's a bit too bad about the buggy start but it's just day 1!
To be honest I think Addons -- big shoutout to Dolgubons! -- almost ruin the fun and fulfillment of collecting the style pages in PC-land, but it also feels like Christmas to be able to freely help others with their collections.

@DocDova - boo! That sounds very frustrating. BUT, and I know this doesn't make up for the boxes you didn't get, you still have days and days of the event to go! Hooray! And The Cake does look so yummy. :)

You might get Stupidly Exciting things in the boxes you do get!

There, that's my painfully upbeat post for the day. I now need a lie down. ;)

I did damage assessment and what I expected very least from event. I had 228 motif pages missing, I wanted to get most of them, plus I wanted aetherial cypher and arteum food recipes (for my main crafter)

Got abysmal loot with getting only 5 right motif pages and no recipe I was looking for after doing daily crafting writs on 18 characters for today.

Not to mention I am not being able to do anything else (which gives golden boxes) as I am super pissed.

This feeling will only get worse with time, I know it. I am far pissed than I was when it happened.

The event was well publicised on ZOS’s website, well in advance of the event, so it seems a bit harsh for you to moan at the game or ZOS for your failure to keep up.

I’m not even sure how you managed to miss 210 boxes already... even if you knew nothing about the event your crafters will have generated 126 boxes for you yesterday just by doing your dailies. You couldn’t avoid them even if you tried.

In any case there are still 12 entire days to go where you can inundate yourself with boxes should you choose. Believe me you will have so many of the things you’ll actually be glad once the event is over.

So far I am not holding anyone responsible, ZOS did publicity, Sony PSN didn't give me event reminder.

I did crafting dailies on 15 toons for 2 days together, 15x7x2 = 210. My last 3 toons received boxes when event started and moment I saw 1st golden box, I realized It got screwed up big time.

I am a doctor, so we are not working from home/ holidays, so couldn't visit forums/ ZOS website much and I thought after jester event I would check.

But I can't help but be irritated, unless my targets are achieved.

That's not my mistake. That's a screw-up, which need to get solved. I lost 16% boxes I could have received even before event started. :(

I would do my crafting dailies only for duration of event, if I am not satisfied with what I get, I would quite ESO and go back to single player games.

Is it my imagination, or are the reward boxes from doing crafting writs better than the ones from other dailies?

I did my writs on my main character, then went off to do some other dailies-- Mages Guild, Fighters Guild, Vvardenfell, and Wrothgar-- but the rewards didn't seem to be as nice as the ones I'd gotten from crafting.

I was running out of time before daily reset, so I logged out of my main to do crafting writs on my alts, and the rewards just seemed so much better-- the new style pages, rare motifs, rare style materials, etc.

Maybe it was just RNG, coupled with the fact that crafting writs give you 7 reward boxes per character-- or 6 if you don't have Summerset-- versus 1 reward box for each of the other dailies? I don't know. But doing crafting writs on multiple characters definitely seems to give a better return as far as time spent versus rewards received.

Anyway, I too am loving the rewards this time!

Speaking of transmute stones, be sure to keep an eye on your number of transmute stones so you don't lose any by going over your limit-- 100 for non-ESO+ accounts, or 200 for ESO+ accounts. This is especially true if you're playing with an auto-loot option. I haven't gotten more than 1 or 2 transmute stones in my boxes, but a guildmate said he got 50 in one box!

People are aloud to have fun and be positive even if you aren't. Really weird that you're taking this thread so personally. It's not like OP pointed and you and laughed at your misfortune. Go post in the bug threads if it's that bad. It'd be more productive.

Also, I agree with OP. The rewards are much much better for this event than they have been for any other event in the past year. I was worried, given the trends toward stingy behavior, that they were going to nerf this event too. Glad they didn't.

Doing daily writs on a bunch of characters is usually the most time-effective method of getting boxes during the Jubilee, so long as you have the mats to do them and the addons that make it near-instant to do your writs.

Yes, I’ve gone over. I don’t know how many I’ve lost. I presume I can transmute monster sets? I haven’t tried before but, if I can, I’ll just use up some stones on that. 200’s a bit rubbish. That’s just four transmutes.

You don't sound like a doctor.

Then You don't know many doctors, at-least on personal level. Medicos might be very stingy, I would be among least stingy (at-least for people working under me/around me), It's just that I am stressed and this thing (missed boxes) along with another thing (not game related) are two things which were not needed and added in my stress just over span of 48 hours.

Though I am not working directly in contact with COVID-19 patients, But working in hospital during a pandemic with curfew like situation is STRESS inducing. Which is further increased by the FACT that, due to everything being closed (except grocery) I am surviving on simple plain food.

SO Cut me some slack, I can vent on internet, It's not that I am sitting 24x7 in my room and enjoying like almost everyone else except medical services and police.

    @haelene That's not misfortune, I wasn't informed.

It's understandable that you would be upset, as this is probably a particularly difficult time for you.

That being said, I would gently suggest that some of your underlying feelings here might be about things other than ZOS. Either way, I hope you find something enjoyable and stress relieving, whether it's ESO or something else. Maybe if you put it out of your mind for a day or two, you will find that there's still a lot of enjoyment you can get out of the event. I'm sure if there's something at the end of the event that you were particularly wanting, you could reach out to the community to see if anyone could help you out, given your contributions in the real world right now.

Actually, there's a thought: maybe we could organize a thread on the forum where people who are healthcare workers or other essential workers could post toward the end of the event if there's something particular that they missed or wanted from the event (motifs, tickets, crown crates) and people could donate to them? I bet there would be people willing to do this. True, there might be a few people shady enough to take advantage of other players' generosity, but I feel like most people would operate on the honor system.
