Shouldn´t be ESO free (all DLCs) for two weeks from 1. April?
Because it doesn´t seem to be free after logging in.
Thank you

    Thank you

It's DLCs, expansions aren't included in the promo

Base game should be free to play atm.

However, the Free to Play page appears to be unavailable....

Yes it is. Cyrodiil and Vvanderfell are the previous DLC areas that became base game.

Now I understand. It´s for new players. They don´t have to buy the game, they can try it for free now. Got it.

Cyrodiil was always part of the base game. Vvardenfell and Summerset were the two Chapters which became base game for new players.

Is the free trial even working? My friend followed the link, but when they start the game it says that the free trial has ended and says to buy the game.

Could you have them submit a ticket so we can assist them further?

Is this just beyond ridiculous? Will ZOS get anything right...ever. Just once. They can't even give the game away without botching it up. Yeah I'm jaded. Change my mind.

There are two kinds of free trials ZOS run:

ESO free to play - No difference if you already own the game, you will continue to only have access to stuff you've paid for. People who don't own the game can download it and play the base game (no DLC or chapters) for free. At the end of the trial period those accounts are locked and cannot log in again unless they buy the game.

Free ESO+ - No difference if you don't own ESO, or if you already subscribe to ESO+. People who have a paid account but aren't currently subscribing get most of the benefits of ESO+ for free, so they can access DLC maps they haven't paid for, dye costumes, put materials in the craft bag etc.

This is the first kind, so the only benefit is to people who don't already own ESO who want to try it out.

It's also worth remembering that if you play directly through ZOS you have the best chance of these sorts of trials being implemented on time and smoothly. If you're on console through Microsoft or Sony, or on PC through Steam, there is always the chance of the implementation being delayed by third party involvement - so in the event of problems being encountered it helps if you post your platform and, if PC, whether you're playing through Steam.

Given that yesterdays patch which was supposed to improve on dsynchs appears to have only made matters worse, can you blame him for being jaded?

Actually, didn't the patch notes specifically say they were still investigating the desynchs ?

There are two ways to bring up issues with the game. One is to get angry, insult and name call and the other is the right way which is the opposite of the wrong way.

    Actually, you are wrong.

Neither the Morrowind chapter (Morrowind DLC + Warden class) , nor the Morrowind DLC (Vvardenfell zone) have become part of the base game.

The current ESO Standard Edition includes two products:

    - ESO base game (aka One Tamriel)
    - Morrowind chapter

Players who bought ESO before the introduction of the current Standard Edition did not get Morrowind for free, be it DLC or chapter.

    Nope. You're wrong.

If you still own a copy of the originally launched game, then that won't include Morrowind.

But new copies / codes for the base / most basic version of the game do include Morrowind - access to Vvardenfell but I think not Warden.

    https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/joinus
Includes The Elder Scrolls Online base game and the Morrowind Chapter.

Physical copies / codes for the old pre Morrowind version are still around though, so always check what you're buying.

stop bashing steam. i rely on steam to play through linux. just stop. it's been a looooong time since i had a problem with eso through steam. the majority of issues with eso come directly from zos

I am not wrong. The base game is just that, the base game.

Do not mistake the term "most basic version" for the term "base game".

The former refers to the Standard Edition, which is actually a bundle, containing the base game and a full chapter, while the latter refers to the base game itself. They are not the same.
