(the worst problem is in Cyrodill.. LAGS instant 15ms goes to 3 sec, Latency in sever work. we cast a spell and it starts to work after 3-4 sec, looooooaaadd screan, log off problem and many more) ...only US server is more or less ok for a year or some... do we expect to hire us IT team in Eu Server?. ot it is cause EU server is Low lvl machine. ?

Where is the problem ZOS can u answer it? we want a bit more then BOT reply ..(we are working on it). it is constant problem so stop treat us like garbage pls answer here (on FORUM to let us all know)for few questions:

-Where is the problem. BAD SERVER?, BUGS in Program (and if it is ever "when" possible to work ok)? or it is because of IT team?.
i think we can pass out ur suggestion (it must be Your end) (net connection) (do u try restrat or update ur comp) etc.

WE all here know it is UR FAULT, we did check all in our end, etc.most of us are more then teens, so we can program more then just a bit, so pls stop giving us a s. hit. answers and try to treat us like partners.

we can help u if u ask community to help.
many of us can help with programing , bug searching, testing etc for free. for us most impostant is (Navigare necesse est) so pls do fix bugs especialy on CYRODILL or let COMMUNITY help U.

The whole community says this for a long time now, but they just wont listen to us, it will increase their playerbase by alot if the servers just runs smoothly in crowded/big areas, especially PvP. It's insane, people can't enjoy a gaming experience if there is constant stutter or having 5 seconds cast delay. Invest in your servers and people will invest in you. We're saying this for years upon years, its time to make a change, it has been 6 years... please

Chances are it's server rather than programme related as I experience none of the same problems (can't log in, getting DC'd, long load screens, etc etc) when I play on PC NA

No surprise as this is where ZOS play, so that's the one they care about.

I just want to put some perspective on this for those who were not here back in 2014.

The game was designed around a pretty neat idea for a "megaserver", where everyone would be playing in the same realm, or rather switch realms (server "shards") dynamically as needed, and the PvP aspect of the game could involve hundreds of players in massive battles. It actually worked fine in beta and for a few months after release. A million players could make friends with anyone else to play any part of the game together. Cyrodiil was an absolute blast.

Unfortunately, they did not safeguard the protocols enough against hacked bots and cheating. Pretty soon the farming bots and the cheating went completely out of hand, and they had to move a lot of the client side calculations (movement, collision, hits) to the server. This required a lot more server resources to be spent on each player connecting, and it required more rapid communications to happen between the client and the server. Unsurprisingly, it appears to have created massive structural problems and bottlenecks in a server architecture which wasn't designed to handle it, neither on the hardware or software side, and the performance tanked as a result.

I'm surprised, even impressed, that they pulled it off at all, but it was a massive retrofit, and the game performance never recovered.

I didn't know that it left something damaged like that and stays, they should really fix that issue by now, there are plenty of ways to recover from it, better anti cheat system, upgrading/resetting the whole megaservers (without player loss progression) I'm no expert, but if they make a bit effort in fixing this, it could definitely be done. People are literally getting enough of this and it's not gonna end well for ESO. They should always have precautions if they're making such big changes like megaservers and what side effect there may be, I was also there back then, but at the duration of that time it now has been years ago, and there can always be improvement, and fixes.

This happened way before corona and events, your only valid point is your last sentence.

Now to go further on what Stefan wrote.

ZOS initial style was to offload as many calculations onto the client/player side of things to free up server side and how much was dedicated to handling ESO.
People used programs such as CE, for years, to alter such numbers and massive cheating went on back then. Reference Zazeer the hero exposing it after ZOS denied it for so long.
ZOS moved much client side as it was safer. They left the API wide open as why make addons for your game, just let the players pay you to make them for you. Flawed and many people abused the API, most namely Miatts.
They also left values, that were still open, that i seen, months ago, which was ULT regen to be exploited by such programs as CE.
Many good employees left ZOS, namely the boy who was working on Dungeon finder among others.

ESO could never be competitive because of the cheating and exploiting that has/is plaguing this game. It is a solid PvE game, massive content and art/design deserves respect.

Seems to my experience over 6 years ish is now ZOS are moving away from really supporting ESO, doing less positive impacts and more and more negative impacts, ignoring server stability to reskin mounts, focusing on blatantly sleazy micro transactions and pushing Event merchant tickets, adding new content to a crumbling and diseased foundation. My take anyway.

So pretty much bad coding and protection caused this, and lack of good employees. Damn..
