I understand that some people can't light weave or have low APM because of health issues or some don't want to take the time to master the game. RP and just good ol' adventuring is cool and should be the first priority (in my opinion) in any MMORPG. Putting in or implementing changes that raise the floor and bring down the ceiling though are MMO death.
WoW was successful for many reason but a huge reason was the ceiling for those who wanted to push it. Look at it now. People are leaving in droves because the ceiling and floor have basically merged together.
ZOS, you are treading into waters that may see ESO drown, don't take your Veteran and ceiling pushing players for granted. WoW did.
