I hope they scrap those mobile-game features from antiquites.

I like what I'm seeing so far, and this will offer a much more dynamic playstyle for vamp characters. Thanks for this.

    Two things:

    1) Is stage 4 appearance the same as current stage 4? What do body markings look like on a stage 4 vamp?

    2) Could you by any chance give us a video on what the new vampire feeding looks like?

Edit: Ok 3 things...any hints of a new home that's underground?

A lot of this is both Pre-PTS and a huge work in progress so most of the stuff in the video/screenshots is not finalized/polished.

I can't give you 1 and 2 but yes there's 2 new houses coming out; one of which may be underground

From the previews, my thoughts are:

    • Skyrim/Blackreach looks really cool!
    • New trial add pulls looked awesome, bosses leave a bit to be desired but of course that was all on Normal difficulty and we didn’t see all of it. Not Vet HM. Visually the trial is already great imo.
    • Antiquities is not really my thing but I’m sure some people will like it. Will they be mandatory for BiS?
    • Vampire animations look great. The skills are cool too.... will those be balanced or are we looking at Vampire being mandatory going forward...?
    • Trial sets... there is an emphasis on heavy attacking to use your sets. Not a fan at all.

Visually it all looks great. The trial sets need to be redesigned though imo. Give us actual cool sets which change up how we play (think Elfbane) and are powerful.

    Antiquities don't affect combat.

Why? If you don't like it, don't do it. Personally I'm really looking forward to having a puzzle element to the game that's not just smashing buttons like a gorilla to be good at vet trials or whatever. Good games need variety. Besides if you really hate it then I'm sure guides will be out for all of it within the first week.

I'm sure vamp will be the in thing for a while until the next big patch when it gets nerfed.

But some of the new sets and the new vamp skill line look and sound interesting. I'm at work atm so cant watch the vids but look forward to see how these develop. Will definitely check out pts when chapter is up to demo.

That scrying did not seem puzzle to me, more alike to bejeweled etc.
Visual puzzles are like trabant is a car. cheap, easy and ***.

Problem is that mythic items are supposed to be good so you are kinda of forced to get them due player hivemind thinking it is a requirement.

Oh I was thinking of Mythic items as being tied to antiquities.

You're not forced to do anything based on the opinions of other people. Where did that line of logic even come from? If other players think they're a requirement then they can think that as much as they want, it won't make it true. It's so far presented as a totally optional side activity like crafting. It's like being mad at a supermarket for selling tofu just because you don't like tofu and think they should clear the shelf for more steak. Let the tofu people have their tofu and go get your steak from the entire butcher's section already over there.

Pretty interesting how the trial sets rely on heavy attacking...

The new Vamp skill line looks cool. I like some of the changes and is more active as feeding now increases your vamp level and thus makes you stronger as opposed to how it is now on live.

One thing though: the vamp rework just highlights how underwhelming werewolves currently are on live. Hopefully with the vamp skill line rework, ZOS has looked at werewolves and brought some improvements to them also.

Trials: Only 3 bosses and lots of trash means lots of grinding for the sets :-(

I have ONE question: Looking at those intricate falmer armors - who does the armor forging for them? ? ?

Basically. Most likely going to be a support set if it doesn't change.

And regen focus on all of the raid gear means ... they're nerfing regen as well. The new regen-focused LAs led me to the same conclusion.

I bet this patch includes CP changes that remove Arcanist and Mooncalf, or something along those lines.

This patch looks like garbage already.

    Back to Skyrim...
    But at what cost ?

Everything is going to s**t so far. Class identity, class balance, racial balance, set balance, useless skill on the other side of the spectrum, OP broken skills on the other, power creep... and of course - game & server performance...

And the list could go on, and on, and on... but I would need separate thread for that lol.

btw. Side note - ZOS is seriously risking to lose a lot of Player-base this time (at lest veteran players) as ppl will simply like literally go to re-play TES V Skyrim instead. There are so many new free mods that it is basically 2 or 3 new games at this point...

Ahhh CP changes/removal. Totally forgot that was a thing because they have been super tight lipped about it. That would make a lot of sense.

I think not adding utility passives to the new treasure hunting skilllines was a mistake.
Legerdemain has sneak cost reduction and force locks to encourage even non-thieves to level it.
Thieves guild has bounty reductions and clemency.
Dark Brotherhood has dark rider, decreasing enemy aggro radiuses by 50%.

These things encouraged me, despite hating these guilds from a role play perspective, to get them anyway for I profit from it in my day to day life.

I had hoped treasure hunting would come with a similar motivation: A universal passive to work for.
    Auri-El is my lord,
    Trinimac is my shield,
    Magnus is my mind.

Could this be to compensate for the 10% lost on vamp that everyone is running?
