If you could turn the Matriarch/Tormentor into something else...

What would it be? Now the only rule is, is that it has to be a daedra of some sort. Personally I'd be fine with it becoming a Watcher, as they'd basically do the same attacks anyhow. They both shoot lightning, and they both have spin attacks. The winged twilight has a kick, but that could just be a tentacle slap or something.

Any other ideas?

Seriously, if it can't be a nyxad, just keep it a matriarch but make it 1/4 size.

I was always for Pocket Watcher from day 1. The problem is that they monetized that model as a premium pet. -.-
Emphasize on Pocket, so yeah, small one like pet.
This is the best solution

Atronach (since they are Elemental Daedra), Air, Flame or Frost, also to be around Scamp size, or bigger, most important not to flap around and be so large like Matriarchs. They could even go further to choose which one on skill Morph selection.

I'd be fine with the matriarch, in a smaller version, that rests on the ground if you're not moving like flying pets do (aka no flappy wings). Also, would be awesome if you could target, at least objects THROUGH all combat pets, owner and other players alike.

I’d say to make a unique combat pet - Storm Elemental.

Base skill: Storm Elemental
Healing morph: Revitalizing Elemental
Damage morph: Storm Trance

The origins are that it’s a form of storm atronach from Oblivion (Daedric Summoning skill line) and the appearance would be similar to a shock version of an Ice Wraith. It would hover a bit lower to the ground and would not be nearly as intrusive as the matriarch or bear. Fits thematically with Sorcerers, same skill effects as the current twilight.

A nixad would be great. I also love a flame atro, can change it to look lightning rather than firey.
I'd even be fine with a half size flappy. Just reduce the flappy wings, please.

Btw, I'm willing to pay crowns for pet reskins/alt models.

I mean, there is a coldfire flame atronach, so if there's a cold flame atronach, im sure theres a storm flame atronach or something tbh.

Honestly, I'd like a vanity slot on your equipment card for combat pets that can equip a "costume" to change its appearance or model. Something just completely aesthetic with no regard to lore or immersion. Turn your bear into a daedroth, or give your bear a santa hat. Scamps are last-year, magical mudcrabs are BIS.

I like the idea of having an atronach instead. Sorcs should be able to summon all kinds of atronachs. I think they should rework the Sorc, so they'll have more elemental abilities rather then just having lightning. In the skill advisor the magsorc dd is titled Elemental Arcanist, but I don't really get that feeling of being an elemental arcanist because the Sorc is only really using one element. The Necromancer uses more elements than the Sorcerer!

So the matriarch should definitely become som kind of atronach. Or ZOS could give us more than 2 morphs to an ability.

Nyxad, small, doesnt get in the way, looks and sounds delightful.

The issue is that nyxad are already available as non combat pets, so something would likely need changed.

Beyond nyxad, the obvious option is for an elemental atronach (storm), not the huge ultimate one, a smaller one like the numerous fire atronachs.

I would be very happy if they changed Clannfear attacks to be magicka based like Familiar. As a stamina pet he is absolutely useless for magsorc, although its such a cool pet. :-(

a $ZOS$ - with flapping bat wings... when use ability - nerf enemies skill power by 50% - healing / damage done - also causing theirs skills to lag and fire after 2 sec delay - then cancelled by server with big notice: target out of range!
