Transmute crystals ??? where are they ...

Fightin_Irish_Johnny
How can the crystal drop rate for each geode be so LOW ... I have literally opened gold, epic and regular geodes. I started counting the last seven and no matter if they are gold, epic or green Not more than 3 in every single one. Why ? Really ridiculous. A gold level should guarantee a minimum of at least something like 20, epic 10 and green 5. How can a combination of 7 geodes amount to only 20 crystals. Answer "bad rng" well they really should fix this.

Monthly pvp rewards might wield you from around 50, 400 or 900 (1, 8 and 18 chars) stones a month, depending on your dedication really.

And yet I am drowning in them. Honestly, some months they bring me in serious inventory trouble because my main is also my crafter. Don't have time to make a new build each month.

What you are probably not aware of is how easy it actually is to get them, and why only this target audience can farm it. It is pretty easy to farm them in PvP. On each alt (have the maximum number of alts of course), choose a 30 day PvP campaign to be your home campaign. Then gain 25k AP on this alt and done. Wait until the end and you will get hundreds of geodes (50 per alt).

Edit: Transmutation stones were introduced as a way to prevent people from having to farm a rare item with the right trait for hundreds of hours. They were not meant to replace the farming, you are still expected to farm a bit. That's why PvE activities grant less stones, because farming is a part of PvE. PvP players spend most of their time in Cyrodiil, so it would be really stupid if they had to spend more than half their time in some dungeon to get the right drop. That's why PvP activities yield a lot more transmutation stones.

Well you need 50 to transmute a single item don' t you?

It would be reasonable to assume you should be able to transmute several items each month. Especially when you are gearing up your characters. I mean: I did like 25 veteran CoH runs and still didn' t get the right Ebon chestpiece (infused). And that is just 1 set piece for 1 character.

Doing daily vet runs gives you an epic geode which gives on average 2.3 transmutation stones each (even though it says "up to 10"). I just did a test with some epic/purple geodes I hadn't opened yet and I got 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 4 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 3 2 2 3 2 3 4. Some vet dungeons are too tough for pug or average guild teams (so you do normal version for 1 stone) so say you get 5 stones a day per character. That's 150 a month, 300 for 2 characters or 450 for 3. For a PvE player I think that's about the max you can get, realistically.

And here I thought the minimum drop out of the gold geods you get as reward of the worthy in PvP have a minimum of 4 drops.
And the 2 gold ones per character at the end of each campaign +1 if your alliance won drop 50 save, soo no problem here especially because the Reward of the worthy ones drop like nothing. I have more problems storing them in my inventories...
