Other things to do while ESO Plus is broken
This ongoing ESO Plus outage has made the game practically unplayable for days, and we have no idea how long it'll take to fix. If resetting your XBox still hasn't worked after the 37th try, buckle in for a long ride and try some of these other things to do for entertainment:
- Go outside. Walk around the block, hike some trails, get some fresh air! Enjoy realistic 3D graphics and a reliable physics engine that only glitches when you play with lasers.
- Introduce your kids to Short Circuit. Johnny Five is alive! Dig through those old classics they haven't seen yet.
- Yard work! Study the proper pruning technique for your home shrubs and trees, then do it yourself.
- Clean house. You may be stuck in it for weeks - and you'll feel sooo much better if it's not a stuffy, smelly, cluttered mess.
- Try a TV workout program. P90X, Brazilian Booty, Richard Simmons... Whatever floats your boat.
- Read a book. No, not one of those glowy purple Mage's Guild level-up MacGuffins with 3 pages! I mean an actual, physical paperthing.
- Master a new skill. Learn CPR and/or first aid. Practice photography. Skin a fish. Whatever. Find a good tutorial and expand your personal toolkit.
- Take something apart. Got an old desktop computer or a TV you need to throw away? Not so fast! Break out the screwdriver first. See what makes it tick. Reassembly optional.
- Cook something new without using the microwave. Start with the simplest ingredients and do it the long, slow, old-fashioned way. No rush, you've got time to make it awesome.
- Rearrange furniture. A new layout may create more space and make your place more comfortable to live in for the coming weeks.
- Plant something. Even if you don't have a green thumb, radishes and carrots are simple and nearly impossible to mess up.
- Dabble in coding. A QBASIC compiler can introduce you to a simple, old school, archaic language. MIT's Scratch is great for kids or beginners who just want to tinker with something.
- Share your own ESO-free isolation activities below.
