Precise only giving 6.9%?

Greetings, I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue. I run a traditional Magicka Sorcerer Dark Elf, but am finding that my staves are only adding 6.9% critical on my character sheet. Its 29% without a staff equipped and 35.9% with one.

I’ve tried stripping everything off and re-equipping to no avail. I am using Bright-throat’s Boast and Siroria with two precise staves, so no crit bonus from either set.

With no CP distributed, no skills slotted and no gear equipped, crit is 10%, when I equip only a staff, still only going to 16.9%

I hate having weird decimals so would like to know if this is normal or how to ‘fix’ it.

Never noticed it before but indeed, Precise on char sheet is showing only 6.9% (nigh impossible to test if its also 6.9%)

I don't know the details of what is going on, and I am no expert, but remember that similar buffs from different sources DO NOT STACK.
I.E. Ring of Major Crit 5% and Sword of Major Crit 5% = crit bonus 5%. They DO NOT stack.

A major buff will only stack with a minor buff.
I.E. Ring of Minor Crit 3% and Sword of Major Crit 5% = crit bonus 8%. They DO stack.

Yeah, but this is going from base 10% (no armor being worn, no skills slotted, no CP allocated) to 16.9% instead of 17% like it should, precise trait adds 7%. It’s a real noodle scratcher

It wouldn't surprise me. Other things have been tested and found that aren't quite the full % they say they are, Minor Slayer for example.
