How to Delete Completely

1. Quit guilds. (the trader inventory you have will go to mails. change location to update mail)
2. Delete mails. (you may need to find a vendor to sell your inventory so you have room to remove mail attachments as you delete)
3. Delete bank. (don't need to sell if you have inventory for bank items, but...)
4. Delete crafting. (you will probably need to sell multiple times at a vendor to delete all crafting)
5. Delete housing. (the box in your apartment may have something in it, just remove to inventory if you have room)
6. Delete furnishing. (if you really want to be complete, then you can remove all furnishing from all your houses; the houses can't be deleted)
7. Delete characters. (there's nothing left to delete. but you can only delete one per day, after your initial 3)
I've decided to start over from scratch with a new character and THIS time NOT do any crafting, ever.

✭Why not just make an alt account and start fresh with nada?

i do have a half of a plan to do a youtube series of videos about how to play withOUT crafting, as a non-sub
but, wow; gonna have to break for a while first
it was 'cathartic' to delete everything (anything on the characters left to be deleted is basicaly just junk)
became such a chore to do crafting, got sucked into trying to do crafting on ALL my 9 characters

decided a clean sweep was the best thing, zero-state (i wound up disliking my 'main', dark-elf nightblade; turns out the F* dark-elves don't even eat vegetables at all!... [snip]?!? anyway... bye [snip] to that, lol)

✭You can play on your account on another server. Like i play NA and EU. I started on EU with nothing and im building back up
slowly. I get to start over and only buy the houses i absolutely want. Try it youll love it.2 -

Yup. Moi aussi. I did do a trade with someone so I have more gold on EU (and s/he has more gold on NA). Makes it MUCH better!1 -

If you delete absolutely all of your characters, does the CP still register with a brand new character, since it is account wide and, for instance, you hit CPs for the first time with your templar, and later your mage hits 50 and poof - they carry on gaining more CPs for the account.
So, can you truly delete absolutely everything and start over from scratch?

When you go from EU to NA or NA to EU you don''t have your collection set transferred - both are separate. ESO+ is valid on both though and you have DLC access on both servers - without ESO+ you wont get access to those DLC which you just own on the other server. So playing on the other server is somewhat "a fresh start".
Keep in mind that your ping might be a lot higher and especially with the new blocking rule this can feel quite weird.Edited by Lysette on March 21, 2020 2:28AM2 -

CP is account not character. It will still be there even if you delete all of them.2 -

✭✭What's the point of deleting characters and starting again ? Just make a new character or is this something to do with the crafting bag ?So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.3
