I feel like I can say with relative certainty that nearly everyone playing BGs would love to see that map be decommissioned. While I'm sure there's probably a handful of deranged individuals out there that do like it, I honestly don't know a single person that would be sad to see it go.

    At least it’s a death match. My most hated is any capture the relic game.

    I actually normally enjoy myself when I wind up playing relic, because (for the most part) you can't brute-force your way it — usually it requires a bit more thought & strategy.

    An Istirus deathmatch on the other hand is just one giant AOE cluster****, which is not particularly enjoyable for me at all.

    I also hate how bad Blastbones is on this map. It gets LOS'd constantly, even if the target isn't specifically trying to avoid it, which often seems to confuse the AI.

    I agree this map is cancer.. total unplayable for nearly any ranged builds..

    I like that one it is for sure biased to my classes just like how some maps are a free win for sorcs and others are for magshot/clench fools to their death,

    Eld Angvar is the worst for all classes because it prevents teams from being even able to regroup properly and the port thing is bad especially in Solo Queue because you go to the port where team is, chances are you will spawn in enemy line or if you go to port where team is not there is a good chance you will get ran down by 3 people trying to regroup or team is up a stairs with 2 teams cutting you off from them, otherwise it is nice but the port needs to go just make people spawn above where the flag for each team is placed.

    You can cast Blastbones 1m from a stationary target in an open field and it will confuse the AI. Taking anywhere from 5-8s to remember it was supposed to explode at 2.

    I enjoy Eld Angvar most of the time, but especially for Relic.

    As for Istirus, definitely not the best Death Match rink, but Crazy King can be fun there. It would be nice if they made the tower flag a little more consistent as to capturing it from the ground level. Either expand the range of the flag so you don't have to stand in such a precise spot, or diminish it so you must go upstairs.

    @precambria you need to learn how the portal mechanics work. Eld angvar is the easiest map to rejoin your team on. Use your map and port to your team.

    Istirus Outpost is a great map for deathmatch. Doesn't take long to immediately get back into fights but there's still plenty of options to kite or los your way out of a fight that's going poorly. It favors melee combat and individuals can be more effective.

    Compared to Foyada Quarry where there's very little options to los. It favors ranged combat and teams are more effective.

    Clearly some maps suit certain playstyles. The variance between maps makes games feel more unique and provides us with a more diverse experience.

    I really like Istirus. (The chances of seeing it in PvE in the Colovian Estates have collapsed... Will we just have the exterior facades and the fort to the east?)
    But I don't understand why the map was reduced to the arena for deathmatch.
