How mant "fixes" is it going to take?

So how many "fixes" are we on now since the patch released, and the game is still unplayable? Have you people thought about the fact that maybe what your trying to do messing with core mechanics of a 6 year old game is out of your league. I just want to know if we will ever get a playable game again. I truly don't even have the motivation to log into this garbage anymore, but some friends still want to play so I log on to try and have a good time with friends. What usually happens is I die to something you have broken or ridiculous lag and skill delay, and rage log after about 5 mins.

I'm not really sure how you can still market this as a functioning product. How that's legal I will never know. You would think that a AAA company would have more pride in its work than to let this go on. There has always been lag, but this is something different entirely. You can't break free, you can't bar swap, your skills go off 5 to 10 seconds after you cast them. Most games would've taken the severs down, and figured out what the hell is going on, but not you guys. I'm sure another we thank you for your patience bs message has been sent or is in the process of being written. I'm all out of patience and have been for awhile.

What's really sad is the next chapter is the last hope for this game. I mean if you can't sell Skyrim than its pretty much over. That's why its so baffling to me that you keep pushing inferior patches that don't fix any of the issues and just break 5 or 6 more things. Has anyone that about rolling back some of these changes. No one askes for them anyway. Hell I think if you rolled all the back to Elswry you would make most of the community pretty happy. At least then the game functioned at a playable level, and it wasn't the worst balance in the history of the game.

What I really want to say is shame on all of you. Its sad that players of the game care more about it than the dev team working on it. Whatever your doing isn't working. Your roadmap stinks. There hasn't be a single thing you have done that has changed performance in a positive way. The combat changes have done nothing but remove skilled gameplay and lowered the skill ceiling. I'm not just talking about pvp either. PVE rotations are watered down and boring. You shouldn't be able to hit 80k dps using a 3 skill rotation. This games learning curve used to be challenging and that's one thing that made it great. I'm just so disgusted at what this game has become, and all the wasted potential.

I have canceled my sub after 2.5 year and I'm not buying Skyrim. This game is a hot garbage since several months already. Most of my very active friends have left (30 of 51). Many of those who are still playing haven't preordered yet.

I also have canceled my ESO plus and wouldn't pay for Skyrim at gun point. The last chapters skill lines ultimate still doesn't work correctly, and they don't even mention it. Its pathetic.

I haven't paid for ESO+ for a while now, and don't plan on it anytime soon, or supporting them in any monetary fashion until they at least ADDRESS these issues publicly. I can't believe the game has been broken this long without an actual, official acknowledgement post. I want to play a functional ESO. A lot of us do. But if it keeps up like this, there won't be a game to return to while people who are fed up are away. The people who are weathering the storm will give up eventually, and then this game will start to die. You'd better believe you'll see the monetization of this game skyrocket while the servers breathe their dying breath. I hope I'm wrong. But.....

Last time I payed for eso was during scalebreaker, what mistake that was. Here I thought the game was getting better after a year and then ruin it with scalebreaker.

It will be a never ending series of updates because that’s how software works.

I disagree with your premise that the game is unplayable. I played it all evening and it was working fine.

There may be elements that aren’t working perfectly, but it’s still possible to spend the evening playing some excellent content with friends and guildies, which is the very definition of working.

If you think there hasn’t been an improvement since Elsweyr, I’d disagree. Group Finder is performing far better than it did late last year when it was genuinely breaking the server. The guild finder no longer crashes the game. So there have been improvements.

The updates will keep on coming until the game is discontinued, which I hope is a long way away.

You did not PvP this evening, else you would not say things are working fine. Even PvE tonight I had a few small rollbacks. Group finder isn't used in PvP either.

I don't think they can fix it this time. I think they'll just have to come out and tell us what they are seeing from their side as the cause of the problems.

Probably gonna have to wait for a ESO2 or classic version (IC patch maybe?) or next gen for console (even then it's never been hardware) Try and find some new games, or dip your toes in pve - which im trying to do.

I cancelled my sub and am in the process of getting a refund for Greymoor. They're dickering about with it. Wanted a proof of purchase even though it's sitting right there in my purchase history. Oh well. I sent them a copy.

The op is 100% right. Me personally, I last longer than 5 minutes. Lol. I log out after TEN!

My guess is all the work except marketing , artwork and story are done by contractor. The real hard core code changes it would take to fix this game would takes weeks. And more than likely take the game offline for weeks if not months. So the loss of revenue just is not going to happen. Coupled with the fact that zos has strung people along of years with the promise of a fix. Just enjoy it as is or move on.

Im a PvPers first and I have stopped PvPing for now. It's been about a week now and I miss it terribly. But I have focused on other parts of the game while they work this out. Still having fun, still love this game. Still happy to have ESO+

    It is unplayable.
    My set up is:
    Intel® Core™ i7-9750H Processor
    RAM: 8 GB / Storage: 1 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB
I have a wired, fibre optic connection, all ports and firewall exceptions applied.
I have uninstalled all add ons, made no difference so I reinstalled the updated ones.
The skill delay is disgusting I am pressing a skill up to 5 times! Often it cost resource but does nothing.

    They have broke the game!
Anyone who claims to PVP with "fine" performance is rather trolling, plays at 3am or works for ZOS.

My whole thing is this. I started PvPing at level 10, as soon as I got the invite. So, I PvPed out the gate. I thought it was just part of ONE game. So, I PvPed and PvE-ed. I enjoy ESO. I love the PvE content, particularly the Chapters. Morrowind was out when I started, bought that. Pre-ordered Summerset, Elsweyr, and even Greymoor. I pre-rdered Greymoor day 1 it was available. I think the folks responsible for the Chapters are unsung heroes at ZOS and do a tremendous job. I'm happy to pay them for that content.

HOWEVER, they finalized my refund a couple hours ago, for Greymoor. Personally, I wish ZOS would revert some of these combat changes back to some point when the game was semi-playable, call it balanced (even if it aint), and call it a day. It's been a rough year of one mis-step after another with respect to combat. It's all made the game "just not fun anymore." There's nothing to look forward to, nothing to feel except dread...just waiting on the next mistake.

Further, I wish ZOS would stop listening to noobs and scrubs-or more precisley, people who are not playing the game on a high level. No one doing vet trials and dungeons or PvPing at a high level are having much fun at all in the game, the state it's in. It's just not worth my money or much of my time. Cancelled the sub too.

The thing is I LIKE the game. I WANT to play ESO. I wanted to go to Solitude. I'm a Skyrim nerd. WTF! I just feel let down...This game is like fun for casuals, fun for the inexperienced, fun for role-players maybe. Yet, as soon as you get good at the game, as soon as you learn to play and get SERIOUS about some aspect of The Endgame, it all comes apart at the seams.

Pvp - If Its tuesday or thursday on PC NA, good luck not punching a hole through your monitor.

Groups like VE and Drac cause an insane amount of server lag and being around them makes the game almost unplayable.

I know some of these groups have a minimum ping requirement and that is fine, but to have the actions of some effect the whole zone is mind boggling. Like do you really need 6 members spamming purge to make a great stream? i dunno.

The fact that the servers are working and the game is in such a terrible state makes it clear to us how the developer "appreciates" us and what kind of "respect" he treats us. The developer does not balls, there is no courage to recognize the current problems completely and completely and really fix them and not lie to us, our customers. It is very sad that the game that I loved turned into a bunch of garbage. Sorry for my bad English.

Before the "reload everything" dropped I decided instead to fully uninstall and take a break until performance fixes are successfully finished. As result I've had no ESO related annoyances at all.

(I have to admit, I was tempted to load and come back for Jesters Festifal but fortunately new bigger SSD I ordered appears to have stuck in transit because pandemic.)

I guess my idea of playable and yours are different. If they are turning it into a full on causal questing, RP, and pvp consists of light attacking from the back of a zerg because the server can't support any other form of gameplay its fine... But they need to tell us that. Elsweyr was far superior to this in every way.. It was before ult cast times which was the start of this potato balancing system where every balance change is to save bad players. I'm to the point I don't care what they do. The game has become a joke. They took the best combat of any MMO and watered it down to save the worst tier of player completely ignoring every other tier. I could put up with it if the game worked, but it doesn't. Now I really just want them to admit it. I want them to have to say they are incapable of fixing not only the problems that have been here for years, but they can't ever fix what there changes have since broken. If your having fun enjoy because they are balancing the game just for you.

I 100% agree. They have failed there long term end-game players in every way. Its very clear they model right now is to grab as many new players as possible suck as much money at them as they can then pitch them to the side as soon as they realize how bad the end-game has become.
